There are more than 75 species of whales. Zoologists divide whales into two groups

by the way they eat. One group, the toothed whales, have sharp teeth for catching prey.

baleen whales, do not have teeth. Gray whales, blue whales are some baleen whales.

Some large sharks can eat whales. But people are the main whale hunters. People

began to hunt large numbers of whales in the 1700s. They hunted the sperm whales for

and other products.

People no longer hunt whales for lamp oil or whalebone. However, they still hunt

whales for oils and other materials used to make soap and cosmetics. Many whales,

including grey and blue ones, have become endangered. Some countries in the mid-1900s

decided to limit whale hunting. Conservation groups now ask that all whale hunting be

stopped. They fear that some kinds of whales could disappear forever.

For centuries, people have been playing kicking game with a ball. The game of soccer

developed from some of these early games. The English properly gave soccer its name and its

first set of rules. In European countries, soccer is called football or association football. Some

For centuries, people have been playing kicking game with a ball. The game of soccer
developed from some of these early games. The English properly gave soccer its name and its
first set of rules. In European countries, soccer is called football or association football. Some

The FIFA World Cup, occasionally called the Football World Cup, but usually referred to
