1. Nhìn vào từ phía trước và sau chỗ trống để xác định
TỪ LOẠI (N, Adj, Adv, V) mình cần điền là từ gì.
2. Xác định từ loại /Chuyển từ gốc (N, Adj, Adv, V)
dựa vào các TIỀN TỐ và HẬU TỐ của từ. 3. Tính – Danh Động – Trạng Giới – Danh Liên - Câu
A. CÁC CẤU TẠO TỪ THÔNG DỤNG
1) Danh từ : thường có các Hậu tố sau:
-ion , -tion ( competition , decision.... ) .
-ance ( performance, reliance.... ) .
-ty & -ity ( nationality , difficulty .....) ,
-ness ( happiness, sadness....),
-ce (confidence, importance...) vv
Danh từ chỉ người có các hậu tố như :
– ee ( employee, trainee.... ) ,
- ist( dentist , pianist....) ,
-ant (assistant ,accountant....) - or (actor, doctor, …)
2) Tính từ : có các hậu tố như:
-ful ( wonderful, careful....) .
-less ( careless, jobless....) .
-ous ( dangerous , marvelous ...) .
-al ( financial, economical....) .
-ic & -ical (psychological, politic.....) .
-tive ( active , competitive ....) .
-able ( drinkable, enjoyable....) .
-ing/ed ( interesting, sastified.......). 3) Động từ :
- Động từ là dạng từ được cấu tạo bằng cách thêm các tiền tố hoặc hậu tố: - Tiền tố: EN-
endanger, enrich , enlarge…. - Hậu tố:
- en (brighten, strengthen, lengthen, widen..... ) .
- ify & -fy (simplify ,satisfy, beautify ....) .
- ize (maximize , industrialize, modernize...).... 4) Trạng từ :
-Trạng từ là dạng từ được tạo nên bằng cách thêm “LY” vào tính từ :
-ly ( slowly, beautiful y ) .
- hoặc có các hậu tố như :
-ward/wards ( heavenward , seaward....) .
-wise ( clockwise ,lenghthwise (theo chiều dọc)....)
- wide (nationwide, worldwide…)
Một số trạng từ có dạng thức giống tính từ: - late - early - fast - ……..
5) Các tiền tố phủ định nghĩa của từ :
- được thêm vào trước danh từ, tính từ hay động
từ với vai trò đảo ngược nghĩa của loại từ đó. Các tiền tố bao gồm :
un- (unbelievable, uncontrollable.....) . in- ( incomplete, inactive ....) .
dis- ( dislike, disappear....) .
mis- ( misunderstand, misspell....) ......
non- (nonstop, nonalcoholic, non-automatic…)
il – (illegal, illiterate, …)
ir- (irregular, irrational (phy lý) B. VỊ TRÍ
CỦA CÁC TỪ LOẠI TRONG CÂU
1) Nouns : vị trí của danh từ thường đứng ở các vi trí sau :
- Chủ từ của câu ( thường đứng đầu câu, sau trạng ngữ thời gian) . Maths is difficult
- Sau tính từ mà nó được bổ nghĩa: beautiful/ good/ smart… She is a beautiful girl
- Sau các tính từ sở hữu như : my, his, her, our, their, its.... My book is old
- Sau các sở hữu cách. (John’s car, Mai’s father…. Jane’s sister is nice
- Làm tân ngữ , sau ngoại động từ : He writes a letter . - Sau "enough"
Parents don't have enough time to play with their kids now.
- Sau các mạo từ như: a, an , the , this , that, those, both, each, every , some .......
This lecture is very interesting .
- Sau các giới từ như: in , at , of , under...... Peter is good at English .
2) Adjective : vị trí của tính từ thường đứng ở các vi trí sau : - Trước danh từ: Adj +N John is a bad teacher . - Sau các linking verb:
to be/sound/taste/feel/seem/remain/keep/ make.....+adj
He felt tired after a long working day . Note : keep/make + O+adj . They made me sad .
- Sau "too": be + too + adj +to +V
He is too old to play football . - Trước " Enough "
He isn't tall enough to play volleyball .
- Trong cấu trúc “be + so....that "
The world is so chaos that No one can predict what wil happen .
- Trong các cấu trúc so sánh hơn và so sánh nhất
He is the smartest student in his class .
- Trong cấu trúc cảm thán : What a lovely girl !
3) Adverb : Trạng từ thường đứng ở các vi trí sau
- Trước các động từ thường ( đặc biệt là các trạng từ chỉ tần xuất: always , usually, some...) .
He usually goes to school late .
- Giữa trợ động từ và động từ thường
He has recently gone to bed late
- Sau các linking verb và trước tính từ (trạng từ chỉ mức độ) She is very nice.
- Sau: động từ thường + "too“ + adv
The teacher speaks too quickly .
- Trước "enough“ (S + V + adv + enough+ for sb + to V)
He speaks slowly enough for his student to understand .
- Trong cấu trúc so....that:
He drove so fast that he caused an accident .
- Đứng cuối câu (Trạng từ chỉ cách thức)
The doctor told me to breath in slowly . 4 Verb :
- Động từ chính trong câu thường đứng sau chủ từ
( được chia theo chủ từ và thì phù hợp)
He has studied English for five years .
- đứng sau một số động từ có tân ngữ theo sau:
(ask/tell/ advise/ force…… sb + to V
- Dùng trong một số cấu trúc với: too..., enough…., it’s + adj + To V PRACTICE MULTIPLE CHOICE
