A: What’s the best time to read the newspaper?
B: I think the best time is in the morning when you start a new day.
A: What types of magazines do you usually read?
B: I usually read politics and fashion magazines. I also enjoy reading about culture and tourism.
A: What’s your favorite magazine?
B: My favorite is The New York Times, which writes about all sorts of things: business, sports, movies, travel, books, jobs, education, and real estate.
A: Do you read the paper or online news?
B: I prefer online news to save money.
A: How much does it cost you to buy paper newspaper per month?
B: I only buy a monthly newspaper, so it doesn’t cost much money. Around $5/month.
A: What is the most popular magazine in your country?
B: I think it would be Forbes magazine, a leading source for reliable business news and financial information.
A:With the popularity of Internet, do you think newspapers and magazines will disappear?
B:Yes, unfortunately it’s just a matter of time. CONVERSATION 2:
A: What’s your favorite coffee shop?
B: My favorite one is The Coffee House, a local coffee shop in my neighborhood. A: Where is it?
B: It’s 500 m far from my house.
A: How often do you visit that coffee shop?
B: Every weekend when I hang out with my friends. The Coffee House is always our first choice. A: Who do you go with?
B: I meet my friends there. They love the place, too. A: What drinks does it serve?
B: Many kinds: coffee, chocolate, cocktail, smoothie, tea, juice of various tastes. My favorite one is hot chocolate.
A: Are the waiters there friendly?
B: Yes, they couldn’t be nicer.
A: Do you like the decorations of that coffee shop?
B: Yes, I love it. I fancy the green space they put in each corner of the room.
A: When was the last time you went there?
B: I last went there last Monday.
A: What is special about that coffee shop?
B: The drinks are what make them different. People are just addicted to full-bodied coffee and chocolate there.
A: How do you know about that coffee shop?
B: My cousin recommended it to me and I did give it a try.
