1. Describe a time when you had to do something difficult,
and you succeeded: What is was How you did/completed it Why it was difÏcult
And how you felt about doing it
One challenging experience I faced was preparing for an important exam while balancing
my part-time job. It happened during my third year at university when I had to take a final
exam in a difficult subject, but at the same time, I was working to support myself financially.
How I did/completed it:
I created a strict study schedule and divided my time carefully between work and study. I
woke up early every day to study before going to work, and I also stayed up late revising my
notes. I avoided distractions like social media and focused fully on my goal.
Why it was difficult:
It was difficult because I felt constantly tired and stressed. Working long hours made it hard
to concentrate on my studies. There were times when I wanted to give up, but I reminded
myself of the importance of passing the exam and keeping my job.
How I felt about doing it:
When I finally passed the exam with a good grade, I felt a huge sense of relief and
accomplishment. It boosted my confidence and taught me that with determination and proper
time management, I could overcome difficult situations.
2. Describe a time when you gave some helpful
advice to someone: Who you gave advice to? What the advice was? Why you gave the advice?
And how you felt about the advice?
One time, I gave helpful advice to my younger cousin when she was struggling to choose a
university major after finishing high school.
Who you gave advice to?
I gave advice to my cousin, who was feeling confused and stressed about her future studies.
She wasn’t sure whether to choose business, which her parents preferred, or education, which she was passionate about.
What the advice was?
I advised her to follow her passion and choose a major she truly enjoyed. I explained that
university life and a future career would be much easier and more satisfying if she loved what
she was studying. I also suggested that she research both options carefully and talk to
professionals working in those fields to get a clearer idea.
Why you gave the advice?
I gave this advice because I had seen other friends regret their choices after picking majors
only to please their parents. I wanted my cousin to avoid that situation and be happy with her decision.
How you felt about the advice?
I felt really good about giving this advice because it helped her feel more confident and calm.
Later, she chose education and told me she was very happy with her choice. That made me
proud, knowing that my advice had a positive impact on her future.
3. Describe an interesting discussion that you had with friends Who you spoke with Where you were
What the conversation was about
And explain why you think it was interesting
One interesting discussion I had was with two of my close friends about future careers and life goals.
Who you spoke with?
I had this conversation with my friends, Linh and Huy, who I’ve known since high school.
We often talk about our plans and share advice with each other.
Where you were?
We were sitting at a small coffee shop near our university. It was a quiet afternoon, and we
had some free time, so we decided to meet up and chat.
What the conversation was about?
We discussed our future careers and what we wanted to achieve in life. Linh was thinking
about starting her own business, while Huy was planning to study abroad for a master’s
degree. I shared my thoughts about improving my skills and looking for better job
opportunities after graduation.
Why it was interesting?
It was interesting because we all had different dreams and ideas, and we gave each other
useful advice and motivation. I learned a lot about the challenges of starting a business
and the process of applying to universities overseas. It made me realize that there are
many paths to success, and we need to find the one that suits us best. After that talk, I felt
more inspired and determined to work on my goals.

in the Central Highlands, about 300 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City. Đà Lạt is well-known
for its cool weather, fresh air, pine forests, and colorful flowers.
I visited this place one years ago during my summer vacation. I went there with my friends,
and we stayed for about four days. We visited some popular tourist spots like Xuan Huong
Lake, Valley of Love, and Langbiang Mountain. We also explored local markets, where we
tried fresh fruits, especially strawberries, and bought some handmade souvenirs.
One of the most memorable activities was visiting flower gardens and taking photos of the
beautiful scenery. We also enjoyed drinking hot coffee while looking at the foggy hills in the
morning – it was such a peaceful experience.
I feel very relaxed and happy whenever I think about Đà Lạt. The atmosphere is so fresh
and quiet, which is very different from the busy life in the city. It’s a perfect place to refresh
my mind and get closer to nature. I would love to go back there again someday.

ballads, and her emotional performances have touched the hearts of millions. Besides singing,
she is also a songwriter and music producer. She has won numerous awards and is respected

She is well-known not only for her music but also for her kind personality and charity work.

melting. I also saw water dripping inside. I checked the power, but everything was fine. I tried
to change the temperature, but it didn’t work. The fridge was not cooling.
This happened in the summer, when the weather was very hot. I was worried because I had a
lot of food inside like meat, vegetables, and milk. I knew the food would spoil soon.
I felt upset and stressed. I didn’t want to throw the food away. I also felt a little angry because
fixing a fridge can be expensive. I called a repairman, and he came the next day. He said the
motor was broken, and I needed a new one.
It took two days to fix the fridge. During that time, I had to buy fresh food every day because
I could not store anything. It was hard, but I felt happy when the fridge was finally working
again. I learned that we should take good care of our home appliances.

studies and was looking for work. It was not easy for him because many people were also
trying to get jobs. He applied to many places and went for several interviews. Sometimes, he
felt sad because he did not get the job he wanted. But he did not give up.
One day, he got a call from a good company. They offered him a job. He was so happy, and
our whole family was happy too. I felt very proud because I saw how hard he worked and
stayed strong even when things were difficult.

The most important person was General Vo Nguyen Giap. He was a smart and brave leader.

“Discuss TWO main reasons why people commit a crime" Introduction:
People commit crimes for many reasons, but two common ones are poverty and bad friends. Development:
First, poverty can lead people to crime because they need money to buy food or take care of
their family. When someone cannot find a job, they might feel they have no choice but to
steal. Sometimes, they are so desperate that breaking the law seems like the only way to survive.
Second, bad friends can push someone into crime because they feel pressure to fit in. If a
young person’s friends steal or fight, they might join in to feel accepted. They may also fear
being left out or bullied if they say no. Conclusion:
In short, many people commit crimes because of poverty or bad friends, so helping people and
guiding them can make our world safer. SHOPPING
“Discuss the ADVANTAGES and DISADVANTAGES of shopping ONLINE Introduction:
Shopping online has become very popular, and it has both advantages and disadvantages. Development:
One advantage is convenience, because people can shop anytime from home. For example,
someone can buy clothes late at night without going to the store. This saves time and energy, especially for busy people.
Another advantage is more choices, because online stores offer many products from different
brands. If someone wants shoes, they can compare prices and styles easily. This helps people
find better deals and save money.
However, a disadvantage is scams and fraud, as some online stores are not real. Sometimes,
people pay for products but never receive them. This can lead to losing money and feeling frustrated. Conclusion:
In short, shopping online is easy and offers many choices, but people must be careful of scams to stay safe. LANGUAGE
“Discuss THREE reasons why young people should study
English nowadays” Introduction:
Learning English is very important for young people today because it can help them in many ways. Development:
First, English helps in getting good jobs because many companies need workers who can
speak English. For example, a person who knows English can work in hotels, offices, or even
go abroad. This can give them better pay and more chances for success.
Second, English helps in traveling because it is spoken in many countries. When young
people travel, they can talk to others easily and ask for help if needed. This makes traveling safer and more enjoyable.
Third, English gives access to more knowledge, as many books, websites, and videos are in
English. For instance, students can learn new skills online by watching videos or reading
articles. This helps them grow smarter and learn new things quickly. Conclusion:
In short, young people should study English because it helps them find good jobs, travel
easily, and learn more from the world around them. HEALTH
“Discuss the reasons why staying healthy is more important
than having much money Introduction:
Staying healthy is more important than having a lot of money because good health allows us to enjoy life. Development:
First, health gives us energy to work and live well, while money is useless if we are sick.
For example, a person with good health can work hard, travel, and spend time with family.
But a rich person who is always sick may not enjoy any of these.
Second, being healthy makes us happy, because we feel strong and free to do what we like.
If someone is always visiting the hospital, even with lots of money, they may feel sad and
tired. Good health allows us to laugh, play, and enjoy simple things.
Third, money cannot buy good health once it is lost. For instance, some diseases cannot be
cured, no matter how much money we spend. Staying healthy is the best way to avoid suffering later. Conclusion:
In short, being healthy is better than being rich, because health gives us the power to work, be happy, and enjoy life fully. MEDIA
“Discuss THREE most notable REASONS why media is
important to young
generation nowadays” Introduction:
Media is very important to young people today because it helps them learn, stay connected, and be entertained. Development:
First, media helps young people learn new things, as they can read news, watch videos, and
follow educational pages. For example, they can learn about science, history, or even new
languages through social media and websites. This helps them grow smarter and understand the world better.
Second, media connects young people with others, because they can talk to friends and
family anytime. For instance, social apps like WhatsApp or Facebook allow them to chat and
share pictures, even with people far away. This helps them feel close to others and build strong friendships.
Third, media provides entertainment, giving young people music, movies, and games to
enjoy. After a long day of studying, watching funny videos or listening to music can help
them relax. This keeps their minds fresh and reduces stress. Conclusion:
In short, media is important to young people because it helps them learn, stay connected, and
enjoy life, making it a big part of their daily lives.
