Why it was difficult:
It was difficult because I felt constantly tired and stressed. Working long hours made it hard

How I felt about doing it:
When I finally passed the exam with a good grade, I felt a huge sense of relief and
accomplishment. It boosted my confidence and taught me that with determination and proper
time management, I could overcome difficult situations.

One time, I gave helpful advice to my younger cousin when she was struggling to choose a
university major after finishing high school.

I gave advice to my cousin, who was feeling confused and stressed about her future studies.
She wasn’t sure whether to choose business, which her parents preferred, or education, which she was passionate about.
What the advice was?
I advised her to follow her passion and choose a major she truly enjoyed. I explained that
university life and a future career would be much easier and more satisfying if she loved what
she was studying. I also suggested that she research both options carefully and talk to
professionals working in those fields to get a clearer idea.
Why you gave the advice?
I gave this advice because I had seen other friends regret their choices after picking majors
only to please their parents. I wanted my cousin to avoid that situation and be happy with her decision.
How you felt about the advice?
I felt really good about giving this advice because it helped her feel more confident and calm.
Later, she chose education and told me she was very happy with her choice. That made me
proud, knowing that my advice had a positive impact on her future.

We were sitting at a small coffee shop near our university. It was a quiet afternoon, and we
had some free time, so we decided to meet up and chat.
What the conversation was about?
We discussed our future careers and what we wanted to achieve in life. Linh was thinking
about starting her own business, while Huy was planning to study abroad for a master’s
degree. I shared my thoughts about improving my skills and looking for better job
opportunities after graduation.
Why it was interesting?
It was interesting because we all had different dreams and ideas, and we gave each other
useful advice and motivation. I learned a lot about the challenges of starting a business
and the process of applying to universities overseas. It made me realize that there are
many paths to success, and we need to find the one that suits us best. After that talk, I felt
more inspired and determined to work on my goals.

I would like to describe Đà Lạt, a beautiful place in the countryside of Vietnam. It is located
in the Central Highlands, about 300 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City. Đà Lạt is well-known
for its cool weather, fresh air, pine forests, and colorful flowers.
I visited this place one years ago during my summer vacation. I went there with my friends,
and we stayed for about four days. We visited some popular tourist spots like Xuan Huong
Lake, Valley of Love, and Langbiang Mountain. We also explored local markets, where we
tried fresh fruits, especially strawberries, and bought some handmade souvenirs.
One of the most memorable activities was visiting flower gardens and taking photos of the
beautiful scenery. We also enjoyed drinking hot coffee while looking at the foggy hills in the
morning – it was such a peaceful experience.
I feel very relaxed and happy whenever I think about Đà Lạt. The atmosphere is so fresh
and quiet, which is very different from the busy life in the city. It’s a perfect place to refresh
my mind and get closer to nature. I would love to go back there again someday.
5. Describe a well-known person you like or admire.

The person I would like to talk about is Mỹ Tâm, one of the most famous and talented singers
in Vietnam. She is often called the “Queen of V-pop” because of her powerful voice and successful music career.
Mỹ Tâm has released many hit songs over the past two decades, such as "Ước Gì," "Họa
Mi Tóc Nâu," and "Đừng Hỏi Em." Her music covers a variety of genres, from pop to
ballads, and her emotional performances have touched the hearts of millions. Besides singing,
she is also a songwriter and music producer. She has won numerous awards and is respected
as one of the top artists in the country.
She is well-known not only for her music but also for her kind personality and charity work.
She often helps underprivileged children and supports people in difficult situations. Her
humble attitude has earned her a large fan and respect from the public.
I admire Mỹ Tâm because she is not only talented but also hardworking and kind-hearted.
Despite her fame, she remains modest and always works hard to improve herself. She inspires
me to stay humble, work towards my dreams, and help others whenever I can.
6. Describe a situation when something in your house
was broken or stopped working.

explain how did you fell about it?
Last year, my refrigerator broke down. It is very important because it keeps food cold and fresh.
One day, I opened the fridge and noticed that the milk was warm. The ice in the freezer was
melting. I also saw water dripping inside. I checked the power, but everything was fine. I tried
to change the temperature, but it didn’t work. The fridge was not cooling.
This happened in the summer, when the weather was very hot. I was worried because I had a
lot of food inside like meat, vegetables, and milk. I knew the food would spoil soon.
I felt upset and stressed. I didn’t want to throw the food away. I also felt a little angry because
fixing a fridge can be expensive. I called a repairman, and he came the next day. He said the
motor was broken, and I needed a new one.
It took two days to fix the fridge. During that time, I had to buy fresh food every day because
I could not store anything. It was hard, but I felt happy when the fridge was finally working
again. I learned that we should take good care of our home appliances.
7. Describe a time when you felt proud of a family member.
I felt very proud of my brother last year when he got his first job. He had just finished his
studies and was looking for work. It was not easy for him because many people were also
trying to get jobs. He applied to many places and went for several interviews. Sometimes, he
felt sad because he did not get the job he wanted. But he did not give up.
One day, he got a call from a good company. They offered him a job. He was so happy, and
our whole family was happy too. I felt very proud because I saw how hard he worked and
stayed strong even when things were difficult.
On his first day at work, we all wished him good luck. Seeing him dressed up and ready for
work made me feel proud and happy. It taught me that hard work always gives good results.

An important event in Vietnam’s history is the Dien Bien Phu Victory. It happened in 1954, a long time ago.
At that time, Vietnam was fighting with France. The French army was very strong, and they
wanted to control Vietnam. The Vietnamese army, called the Viet Minh, wanted freedom for the country.
The most important person was General Vo Nguyen Giap. He was a smart and brave leader.
He made a plan to fight the French soldiers in Dien Bien Phu, a place in the mountains. The
Vietnamese soldiers worked very hard, carrying big guns through forests and hills. After a
long fight, the Vietnamese army won.
This is important because it helped Vietnam become free. It made Vietnamese people feel
strong and proud. The victory showed that even a small country can fight for its freedom and

On weekdays, I spend about one to two hours on my hobbies, mainly reading or listening to
music in the evening. During weekends, I have more free time, so I might spend three to four
hours playing sports, hanging out with friends, or exploring new books.
 What hobbies are suitable for men and women?
I believe hobbies are not limited by gender. Activities like reading, cooking, traveling, or
playing sports can be enjoyed by anyone. For example, both men and women can benefit from
yoga for relaxation or enjoy photography as a creative hobby.
 What are new hobbies in VN?
In Vietnam, many young people are getting into new hobbies like hiking, camping, and
cycling because they love outdoor adventures. Additionally, online content creation, such as
making TikTok videos or vlogging, is becoming popular as social media grows. TRAVELING

Yes, I really love traveling because it gives me a chance to relax, explore new places, and
experience different cultures. It also helps me refresh my mind and escape from the stress of work or study.

different kinds of food, and meet new people. Traveling also helps people create wonderful
memories and learn more about the world.
