Thailand, and Bình, from Vietnam. It’s time for our final round. Nan has three points, and
Bình is close behind with two points. The topic for our final round is ASEAN. How do
you feel, Nan?
Nan: I’m excited!
Tom: How about you, Bình? Do you still think you can win?
Bình: I’ll try my best!
Tom: OK. Here’s question one. The ASEAN Declaration was signed in 1967 by five
founders. Where was the Declaration signed?
Nan: It was signed in Bangkok!
Tom: That’s right, Nan! You get one point! Now, you have four points! Here’s question
two. Who was the sixth country to join ASEAN?
Bình: Let me think. It was Brunei!
Tom: That’s right, Bình! You get one point! Now, you have three points! Here’s question
three. When was the ASEAN Free Trade Agreement signed?
Bình: It was signed in 1992!
Tom: Bình, you are correct again! So, at the end of the final round, you both have four
points! That means we need a special question to decide who the winner is! So, here it is,
the final question. Which country joined ASEAN in 1999?
Bình: Oh, I think I know this one.
Nan: It was Vietnam!
Tom: Sorry, Nan. That’s not correct. Bình, do you have an answer for us?
Bình: I think it was Cambodia.
Tom: Congratulations! Bình, you are the winner!
