- Have students read the lyrics of the song.
Encourage them to point at the pictures to
reinforce their understanding.
- Play the recording all the way through for
students to listen to the whole song. Encourage
them to listen carefully to the pronunciation and
the melody.
- Play the recording line by line for students to
listen and repeat. Correct their pronunciation
where necessary.
- Play the recording all the way through for
students to sing along.
- Introduce actions for students to do while
singing along with the recording.
- Extension: Put students into groups to make
up their own actions for the song. Invite some
groups to the front of the class to perform while
the rest of the class sings and / or claps along.
- Have the class to praise or cheer the
performers.
- Read the lyrics of the song. Point at the
pictures to reinforce their understanding.

I. WARM UP (5 minutes)
* Game: “Simon says”

+Objectives: To help the students review the
phrases about classroom activities.
+ Procedures
- Ask the students to stand at their desks. Explain
that you are going to give instructions. If the
instruction begins with the words Simon says…
students must do as you say. If not, they must stand
still and wait for the next instruction. Any student
who gets this wrong is out of the game and sits
down.
- Model the activity, e.g. Simon says “stand up”.
Simon says “open your book”. Intermittently,
introduce an instruction that doesn’t start with
Simon says and see if any students follow the
instruction.
- Continue the game until there is one winner or a
group of winners, if you prefer.
- Praise the winner. Give feedback.
