There are many ways of travelling in London. The London Underground or ‘the Tube’ was the
first underground railway system in the world. People first used it in 1863. People called it ‘the Tube’
in 1890. In 1908, they designed the London Underground’s logo – a red circle and a blue rectangle.
There are about 11 lines and 270 stations today. The Tube services run from 5 a.m. until midnight.
London buses – or double-deckers – are typically red and many of them have got two floors. Buses are
