The fact is that today people are becoming as indifferent as robots. Human are
suffering from a disease without cure which is knows as Apathy. Scientists say that
Apathy is the emotional state and conscious attitude of a person or a group of
people who are indifferent, emotionally inert, "cold-blooded" to the surrounding
life phenomena. The problems of Apathy which are a growing disease affects
individuals, society, and especially among young people.
The effects of Apathy for individuals are the first problem we have to deal with.
According to the scientists, Apathy gives you a feeling of languid both spiritually
and physically. Example, when you feel like you do not want to do anything or
care about anything, you are going to get depressed and lose energy. In addition,
the onset of apathy can actually accelerate cognitive decline. The study's findings
shed light on a vital early warning sign of cognitive decline. According to the
Alzheimer's Association, about 2-5 percent of older people without dementia have
Apathy, but about 50-70 percent of people with dementia have Apathy. Otherwise,
Apathy is also the cause of separation from people and the life around because no
one wants to be with someone who is indifferent to everything and always lifeless.
Besides, the effects of Apathy for society are more pressing issue that we need to
be aware of. If everyone suffers from Apathy, society will be full of bad and evil
things. According to the General Statistics on Bullying 2020, 71% of student have
witnessed bullying at school. The apathy of students in choosing not to help
victims of bullying has not diminished its victim’s numbers. In a recent case of
child violence in Vietnam, the culprit is the victim’s stepmother. The apathetic
attitude when he knew his daughter being abused and a coverup for the stepmother
