artificial intelligence (AI) and automation have
developed rapidly, transforming
industries, creating new jobs and businesses, while also pushing many workers into the risk of inevitabl unemployment. Some argue that
these technologies will certainly cause large-scale job losses. I partly
agree with this view, because AI can replace many jobs, even for highly skilled professionals in fields
such as analytics, consulting, or sales, yet it also generates new
opportunities and challenges for the lab market.
On the one hand, according to a recent analysis by JPMorgan Investment Bank, AI and automation are
increasing the volatility of the labour market. Nowadays, more and more companies are willi ng to spen
large sums of money to invest in
artificial intelligence. For example, the technology firm DocuSign invested
15 million USD in an AI startup, while Apple acquired a home camera developer based on A
Similarly, in the manufacturing sector, robots are increasingly being used to assemble products, which
reduces the demand for factory workers. These examples illustrate how deeply AI is being integrated in
the economy, and clearly, it can replace jobs that follow fixed and repetitive processes.
On the other hand, history has shown that
technological progress often creates as many opportunities as it eliminates, if not
more. According to the World Economic Forum, around 90 million jobs could

five years due to automation and AI, while at the same time, as many as 170
million new jobs may be created. Promising careers include big data specialists, fintech engineers,
cybersecurity experts, software developers, AI and machine learning professionals, and autonomous
vehicle engineers. Moreover, there are still aspects of work that machines cannot replace, such as
creativity, emotional intelligence, and ethical judgment. Therefore, the challenge for governments and
workers is to adapt quickly, focusing on
reskilling in digital competencies, creative thinking, and the
ability to apply technology, in order to turn the “risk of unemployment” into a “career leverage” in the AI era.
In conclusion, although AI and automation may result in job losses in certain industries, they also create opportunities for innovation and development.
The most effective way for workers to adapt in the age of
AI is to view AI as a partner rather than a replacement. I believe that the overall impact will largely depend
on how governments, businesses, and individuals prepare for this transformation through education and retraining. ---Hết---
