Topic 15: Why should people use public transportation?
Using public transportation has many important benefits that people should consider.
Firstly, the use of public transportation reduces traffic congestion and environmental
pollution. Each person chooses buses, subways, or bicycles instead of driving their own
cars, which means minimizing traffic on the road and consuming fuel. This is beneficial to the
environment by reducing greenhouse gas and toxic gas emissions from motor vehicles.
Secondly, using public transportation saves money. Compared to owning and maintaining a
private car, public transportation often saves significant costs. Users can avoid paying for
gasoline, maintenance, car insurance, and parking fees. Finally, public transportation helps
to create social connections and reduce traffic stress. By using these kinds of traffic, people
have the opportunity to meet and talk with others, boosting community spirit. In addition,
avoiding daily traffic jams also helps reduce stress and time to lose on the journey. But
especially important, using public transportation helps minimize the negative impact on the
environment and contribute to a cleaner and sustainable planet. Therefore, people should
consider using these means and contribute to building a better living environment for all.
Topic 2: Some think newspapers are the best method for reading the
news while others think the media is better.
Choosing the right source of news and media is an important issue in today's digital
age. Firstly, traditional newspapers are often considered more reliable, thanks to careful
editing and censorship. However, other media, such as social networks and online news
sites, provide rapid information updates and allow direct interaction with readers.
Secondly, another important issue is the accuracy of information. While traditional
newspapers focus on information censorship, other media may be under pressure to
update speed and sometimes question reliability. Diversity of information also plays an
important role. Newspapers often focus on national and international news, while other
media can provide a variety of information access, including local and smaller news.
Finally, interaction and discussion are also important. Online media often provide
opportunities for readers to discuss, comment, and share views directly on articles,
promote discussions and exchange opinions. Meanwhile, traditional newspapers often
do not interact directly with readers. In conclusion, the choice between traditional
journalism and online media depends on personal goals and preferences. However, it is
always necessary to consider and check the source of information to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Topic 4: Some students take a gap year after graduating high school
to work and/ or travel. What is your opinion?
In my opinion, that some students take a year off after graduating from high school to
go to work or travel is very positive. I believe this can bring many benefits to their lives
and personal development. First of all, it provides an opportunity for students to
experience the real world outside of school. Working or traveling can help them develop
communication skills, time management and self-management life skills. This can be
very helpful when they go back to their studies or continue their career later. Secondly, it
allows students to create a time to define goals and shape the future. Sometimes, after
years of continuous learning, they need some time to think about themselves and what
they really want in life. However, it is important to ensure that they use this break
responsibly and do not miss important learning opportunities. They should carefully
consider the choice of commuting or traveling and make sure that it suits their personal
and academic goals. In short, taking a year off from high school to work or travel can be
beneficial for students, but it also requires smart consideration and time management to
ensure that they do not miss important learning opportunities.
Topic 5: Some people believe that teenagers should focus on all
subjects equally, whereas other people. think that they should
concentrate on only those subjects that they find interesting. Which opinion do you agree with?
I think that focusing equally on all subjects and focusing on the subjects that I find
interesting have both its advantages. In one respect, focusing on all subjects helps to
build a diverse and rich knowledge base. This can broaden the understanding and
provide opportunities for the overall development of teenagers. Even subjects that they
may not find interesting at first can make them discover the hidden potential and passion
in themselves. However, it is also important for teenagers to be free to choose subjects
they find interesting and passionate. This helps them focus deeply on their favorite
areas, develop better skills, and can lead to future success. Studying in a comfortable
and interesting environment can help teenagers to come up with their full potential. In
conclusiont, consideration is needed. A combination of diverse learning and individual
focus can help teenagers develop comprehensively and achieve their goals.
Topic 6: Advertising is becoming more and more common in everyday
life. Is this a positive or negative development ?
Advertising has become more popular than ever in our daily lives. While there may be
positive aspects, there are also negative aspects to the development of advertising. A
positive aspect of advertising development is that it can provide information about new
products and services to consumers. It can help consumers better understand the
products and services available, so they can make smarter purchasing decisions.
Furthermore, advertising can help create business opportunities, boost economic
growth, and create jobs for many people. However, the development of advertising also
poses some negative issues. Over-the-counter advertising can cause disturbance and
inconvenience in everyday life. It can create unnecessary purchasing pressure and
boost inconsiderate consumption. In addition, advertising often creates an image that
consumers must pursue, sometimes negatively affecting their feelings about themselves
and their body image. In short, advertising development has two sides to it. It can benefit
by providing information and economic incentives, but it can also cause problems related
to consumer pressure and information overload. It is important to maintain consideration
and use advertising responsibly to ensure that it benefits both society and consumers.
