and more common. There are some of the main reasons why students cheat in exams.
One of the main reasons why students cheat on exams is they are not preparing
for the exams. In fact, when students do not know how to manage school time it
will leave them with no time to prepare well for exams. For example, students
who are involved in social activities will not have time for their studies. Students
choose to cheat in order to have a good results so that they may be easier to
apply for a job in the future.
Secondly, students are afraid of bad test results. Most students choose to cheat
because they fear that they will have to both lose a sum of money and take time
to re-take the exam when their exam results are poor. For some students with
difficult family conditions, they fear that the result may be such that they miss the
opportunity to accept scholarships and some special assistance is only available to qualified students.
Thirdly, family pressure is also a factor that causes to cheat. When the parents of
those students always expect their children to get good results so that the future
can earn good wages. Many families weigh on their children's grades because they
want to be proud of others. Student’s parents' wishes are a negative influence for
students who cheat to get the reward as their parents expected.
In general, cheating can help students get good grades, but it will hinder their
ability to succeed in the future. If students are caught engaging in fraud, they may
face serious consequences such as being expelled from school or losing their
scholarships. So they need to consider whether cheating in exams is really worth it.
