Dùng sau câu mệnh lệnh: Look, Be careful, Watch out, Look out, Be quiet,... ể hướng sự chú ý ến 1 việc ang diễn ra.
Ex: Look! The child is crying. -
Diễn tả một hành ộng xảy ra lặp i lặp lại khi dùng phó từ always.
Ex: She is always borrowing our books and then she doesn’t remember. -
Diễn tả một hành ộng sắp xảy ra trong tương lai gần có sắp ặt, giống với thì Near Future

3. Present Perfect Tense: S + HAVE/HAS + V3 -
Diễn tả hành ộng ã xảy ra và kết thúc trong quá khứ nhưng không rõ thời gian. Ex: I have seen that film. -
Diễn tả hành ộng xảy ra trong quá khứ nhưng vẫn còn ở hiện tại và tiếp tục ở tương lai.
Ex: We have lived here since 2016. -

Diễn tả một hành ộng ang xảy ra tại một thời iểm xác ịnh trong quá khứ.

Diễn tả một hành ộng ang xảy ra trong quá khứ thì một hành ộng khác xen vào (hành ộng
xen vào thường ược chia ở quá khứ ơn).
Ex: I was working when she called. -
Diễn tả những hành ộng xảy ra song song cùng 1 lúc với nhau.
Ex: While Peter was reading a book, Tom was watching television. Dấu hiệu nhận biết:

7. Past Perfect Tense: S + HAD + V3
- Diễn ạt một hành ộng xảy ra trước một hành ộng khác ở trong qúa khứ. Hành ộng xảy ra sau chia thì Simple Past.
Ex: Before he went to bed, he had done his homework. (S. Past) (P.P. Tense)
- Diễn tả hành ộng ã hoàn thành trước một thời iểm ở trong quá khứ.
Ex: By 5pm yesterday she had left his house.
- Dùng trong mệnh ề IF loại III, diễn tả 1 iều kiên trái với sự thật trong quá khứ: Ex: If he had
studied harder, he would have got better marks for the exam. -Dấu hiệu nhận biết:

8. Past Perfect Continuous Tense: (Thì Quá Khứ Hoàn Thành Tiếp Dißn) S + HAD +BEEN +V-ing -
Diễn tả một h xảy ra liên tục trước một h khác trong quá khứ. H xảy ra trước chia ở thì
quá khứ hoàn thành tiếp diễn, h xảy ra sau chia ở thì quá khứ ơn. Ex: I had been doing some
market research before my boss asked me to. (P.P. Continuous.) (S. Past) -

một hành ộng sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai Ex: Ex: Will you be at home this evening?
-Diễn ạt ý kiến, sự chắc chắn, sự dự oán của người nói về một iều gì ó trong tương lai. Ex:
I’m sure he will come back soon. -Đưa ra một lời hứa, lời yêu cầu, lời ề nghị, lời mời, lời e
dọa. Ex: I’ll call you tomorrow./ Will you open the door? -Đưa ra quyết ịnh hoặc ồng ý
làm iều gì ó ngay lúc nói. Ex: We are out of coffee. I’ll buy some now.
-Shall thường ược dùng trong lối văn trang trọng hoặc trong lời gợi ý.
Ex: I shall see you at the meeting tomorrow. Shall I carry your bag?
* Các trạng từ thường ược dùng: now, soon, someday, tomorrow, next week/ next month….
10. Future Continuous Tense: S + WILL/SHALL +BE + V-ing
-Diễn tả về một hành ộng sẽ ang xảy ra trong tương lai tại thời iểm xác ịnh.
Ex: We will be going camping at this time next Sunday.
-Diễn tả về một hành ộng sẽ ang xảy ra trong tương lai thì có hành ộng khác xảy ra.
Ex: Jenny will be waiting for you when the plane lands. -Cách nhận biết:
Trong câu thường chứa các cụm từ như next time/year/week, in the future, and soon,…
11. Future Perfect Tense: S + WILL/SHALL + HAVE + V3
-Diễn tả một h sẽ ã hoàn thành trước một thời iểm xác ịnh trong tương lai. Ex:
She will have finished the report by 8 o’clock tomorrow.
-Diễn tả về một h sẽ ã hoàn thành trước một hành ộng khác trong tương lai.
Ex: When my boss comes back, we will have done our report. -Dấu hiệu nhận biết:
Trong câu thường chứa các từ như by/by the time/by the end of + thời gian trong tương lai,…

Ex: Until the end of this month, Jelly will have been working at YOLA for 5 years. -Dấu hiệu nhận biết:
Trong câu xuất hiện các từ như Until...., For + khoảng thời gian + by/ before + mốc thời gian
trong tương lai, by the time, by then,…
13. NEAR FUTURE: S+ BE GOING TO + V
Diễn ạt một việc ược dự ịnh sẽ ược thực hiện trong tương lai gần có ke hoach, có dự tính.
Ex: We are going to see her off at the station at seven. -Diễn tả 1 sự
việc chắc chắn sẽ xảy ra có nh dấu hiệu nhận biết rõ ràng. Ex: There
isn’t a cloud in the sky. It is going to be a lovely day.
Look out! We are going to crash!
-NOTES: 'Be going to'không ược dùng với GO và COME. Trong trường hợp này chúng ta nên
dùng Present Continuous ể diễn tả dự ịnh tương lai.
Ex: We are going to the movie tonight. (P. Cont)
My brother is coming to see me on the weekend. (P. Cont.) -Present
Continuous và Be going to có nghĩa tương tự nhau.
Ex: We are having/ we are going to have a party next week.
Chúng ta thường có thể dùng cả hai hình thức ể nói về dự ịnh hoặc sự sắp xếp trong tương lai.
Ex: I’m meeting/I’m going to meet Harriet at 6 o’clock.

I. BARE INFINITIVES: Vo Cách dùng:
- Sau các từ: let, make, help,
Ex: They let us come in. _> We were allowed to come in.
They made him repeat the whole story.
But: He was made to work so hard by the boss.
: I was made to clean my room. (bị ộng + to V) Note:
Động từ help: help + Vo / to V
help + O + Vo/ toV help + O + with + N
Ex: My sister helped me do/ to do/ with my homework.
- Dùng trong câu mệnh lệnh:
Ex: Look at the picture! Answer the question!
- Dùng với ộng từ truyền khiển: Have s1 Vo/do sth <=> Have/get sth V3/ done by s1 : nhờ ai làm gì Get s1 to Vo

=> We had/got our car serviced by the mechanic last week.
- Sau modal verbs: can, will, shall, may, might, would, could, should, must, ought to Ex: I can swim .
Ex: We ought to work hard at this time of the year.

Ex: We had better take some warm clothing.
You’d better give me your address.
I would rather stay at home than go out in the rain.
- Một số ộng từ ặc biệt (need, dare) có thể ược dùng cả như ộng từ khuyết thiếu lẫn ộng từ thường. Khi ược
dùng như ộng từ khuyết thiếu, ộng từ i sau sẽ ể ở nguyên mẫu không to; khi ược dùng như ộng từ thường,
ộng từ i sau sẽ chia ở nguyên mẫu có to.
Ex: We needn’t book in advance.
We don’t need to book in advance.
- Sau ộng từ chỉ tri giác: hear, listen, sound, see, watch, notice, find, smell, taste, feel, catch…+ O + Vo
(chỉ sự hoàn tất của hành ộng – nghe hoặc thấy toàn bộ sự việc diễn ra)
Ex: I saw her go with a strange man yesterday.=> She was seen to go with a strange man yesterday. (passive)
- Các ộng từ chỉ tri giác: hear, listen, sound, see, watch, notice, find, smell, taste, feel, catch… + O +
V-ing (chỉ chứng kiến 1 phần sự việc ang diễn ra)
Ex: I smell something burning in the kitchen.
When I entered the room, I found him reading a book > He was found reading a book (by me.)
- Động từ nguyên mẫu không to sử dụng với WHY (văn nói, khi ưa ra lời ề nghị), Nhưng với WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, HOW…+ to V
Ex: Why wait until tomorrow? Why not buy a new bed? Why walk when we can go in the car?

II. GERUNDS: V-ing / Being V3(bị ộng cuả Gerund) - Dùng làm chủ ngữ.
Ex: Reading helps you improve your vocabulary.
- Dùng làm tân ngữ của ộng từ
Ex: He loves surfing the Internet.
- Dùng làm bổ ngữ cho ộng từ. Ex: Her favorite hobby is collecting stamps.
- Được dùng sau những ộng từ sau:
Admit, appreciate, avoid, continue, consider, delay, deny, detest, enjoy, fancy, feel like, finish, hate,
imagine, involve, keep, mention, mind, miss, postpone, practice, quit, recall, resent, risk, suggest,
waste/spend, go …(go shopping, go swimming…)
Ex: They enjoyed working on the boat.
The man admitted stealing the company’s money.
- Sau các cụm từ: be busy, be worth, have difficulty/trouble/ problem in, be/get used to, be/get accustomed
to, object to, confess to, prefer… to, can’t help: không thể không, can’t stand/can’t bear: không chịu ựng nổi.
-It is no good: thật không tốt, It is no use: thật vô dụng
-There’s no point (in)… chẳng có lÿi gì -What

Ex: They couldn’t help laughing when they heard the little girl singing a love song.

ộng từ không thuộc 2 nhóm trên sẽ dùng với To V:
Want, think, believe, understand, hit, read,gree , aim, arrange, attempt, care, choose, appear, afford, ask,
demand, expect, hesitate, intend, invite, want, wish, hope, promise, decide, start, learn, fail, plan, manage, pretend, ….
Ex: The doctor advised us to take a holiday for a rest. -
Dùng làm chủ ngữ trong câu khi chỉ mục ích:
Ex: To learn English well is his important goal to his future job. To
pass the exam is my goal.
- Dùng làm bổ ngữ cho chủ ngữ:
Ex: The most important thing for you now is to learn hard. -
Dùng làm tân ngữ của ộng từ, tính từ:
Ex: He wants to learn English.
Ex: I am pleased to hear that you have passed your exam. -
Dùng sau hình thức bị ộng của ộng từ i trước:
Eg: We were made to work overtime yesterday.
- Dùng trong các cấu trúc: + …Enough… + to V
Ex: They have enough money to buy that house. + Too +…+ to V
Ex: It’s too hot for me to sleep.

- Nhóm các ộng từ có thay ổi nghĩa khi dùng với Gerund hoặc ToV:
+ remember / forget + V-ing: nhớ / quên việc ã xảy ra rồi (trong quá khứ) remember /
not forget + to V: nhớ / kh quên việc sẽ làm (trong tương lai)
Ex: Remeber to turn off the light before leaving home. I remember meeting you before.
