Come Visit the BATU Caves of Malaysia!
Get ready to enjoy this magical place right in the heart of Malaysia. These incredible
limestone caves are inside a massive hill and are the home of many Hindu temples that
honour the Hindu god Lord Murugan. The Malay word batu means 'rock' and this is one
huge rock! Be prepared to climb up 272 colourful steps to the top cave temple. It is like walking on a giant rainbow! The History of the Caves
The series of caves are about 400 million years old. Local tribes once used them as
shelters. In 1890, a leader of the Indian community created a temple to Lord Murugan
within the caves. Today, there are many temples with statues of Hindu gods. Meet the Monkeys!
On the way up, you may meet some new animal friends. The Batu Cave monkeys are
everywhere and cheeky, and perhaps grab a snack from a friendly tourist. The Temples
With 140 feet, the statue of the Hindu god Lord Murugan guards the entrance of the
caves. Wrapped in gold with his mighty spear, the statue is quite a site! Inside the caves,
there are various temples that honour Hindu gods. There is even a museum and art gallery
cave full of Hindu paintings and statues. Visitors can explore the peaceful and beautifully
lit caves of this magical underground world for hours. Visitor Tips
If you plan to spend a few hours at this tourist site, don't forget plenty of suncream and
comfortable walking shoes. Food and water are available outside the cave entrance.

Megan: I just don’t know what to do Colin: What’s wrong, Megan?
Megan: It’s my mom and dad, Colin. We had an argument.
Colin: Really? But you have such a good relationship with parents.
Megan: That’s true. And I don’t want to complain. They aren’t strict like other parents

great way to reduce my stress and have a break for my studies but they were upset and
didn’t want to listen to me. I just don’t understand why they being like this. It makes me so mad.
Colin: Well, first, try to calm down. Give your parents some time to think about this.
They know you are responsible. After some time, you can talk with them again and
explain how important it is for you to join a team. I’m sure they will understand.
Megan: I sure hope so but I really don’t understand why they acting this way. Thanks, Colin.

I hope you are well. I wanted to tell you about my recent trip to Nha Trang, a beautiful
coastal city in Vietnam. I had an amazing time exploring the city and experiencing its unique culture.
Nha Trang is well-known for its gorgeous beaches and the views are so breathtaking. I
spent most of my time lounging on the beach and soaking up the sun as well.
One of my favorite things about Nha Trang was the food. There are so many delicious
local dishes to try, such as fresh seafood, noodle soups, and Vietnamese coffee. I highly
recommend trying Ninh Hoa grilled meat roll, one of the specialties there.
Nha Trang also has a cultural heritage. It is Po Nagar Cham Towers, which are ancient
Hindu temples that date back to the 7th century. The towers are incredibly well-preserved
and provide a fascinating glimpse into Vietnam's past.
I found Nha Trang to be a special place to visit. If you're looking for relaxation, you can
