Jack: Yeah, it’s too big and they don’t have it in your size.
Liz: That’s too bad. The blue also looks good, doesn’t it?

Matt: Wow! OK. Um, I need a suit, don’t I?
W: A suit is not required. But we don’t allow shorts. Jeans are okay. You can wear a shirt if it’s suitable.
Matt: Got it. Thank you. I will see you on Monday. Narrator: Now, listen again.
3. Narrator: What time did Emily come home?
Dad: Emily! You’re in trouble. You came home after curfew, didn’t you?
Emily: I’m sorry, Dad. The movie was really long. I should’ve called you.
Dad: What time did you come home?
Emily: 9:45, I was just fifteen minutes late. Dad: Don’t lie to me. Emily: I got home at 10:30. Dad: Emily...

Mom: You should have studied more.
Joe: I did! I studied a lot. It was really difficult.
Mom: Did you ask your teacher for help?
Joe: Yes, but I still couldn’t understand it.
Mom: Then you should have looked it up online.
Joe: I guess you’re right. Sorry. Narrator: Now, listen again.
5. Narrator: What shouldn’t Dave have done?
Mom: Dave, your father and I are worried about your behavior. You ignored our calls last
night and came home after curfew.
Dave: Sorry, Mom. I was just really busy working on a class project with my friends.
Mom: If you want us to respect you, you have to be more responsible. Check your phone
and call us if you’ll be late.
Dave: OK, Mom. You’re right. I shouldn’t have ignored you call. Narrator: Now, listen again. Reading
