impact on their social skills and self-esteem. Moreover, these early decision-
making experiences lay the groundwork for more complex choices in the future.
It's essential to acknowledge that while these decisions may appear minor, they
play a critical role in a child's development.

Upon graduation, teenagers stand at a pivotal crossroads, where they must make
decisions that can shape their future. The most prominent decision is undoubtedly
their career path, which involves choosing whether to pursue higher education or
enter the workforce. Additionally, this phase often requires them to decide where
to live, whether to stay close to their family or move away for studies or work.
These choices not only influence their immediate future but also have long-term
implications for their personal and professional lives.

Children have a variety of sources to seek guidance from when making decisions.
Primarily, parents and family members play a crucial role as the first point of
contact. They offer advice based on their life experiences and understanding of the
child's personality. Furthermore, teachers and school counselors provide valuable
insights, especially regarding educational and social decisions. In the digital age,
children also turn to online resources for information, though this requires
supervision to ensure the credibility of the advice they receive.

"Undoubtedly, advertisements are designed to influence consumer decisions. They
employ various strategies, such as emotional appeal and celebrity endorsements, to
create a perceived need or preference for a product. This is particularly evident in
impulse purchases, where consumers are swayed by an ad to buy something they
hadn't planned on. Advertisements also shape our perceptions of brands, often
leading us to favor one product over another based on the image portrayed rather
than the product's intrinsic qualities.

The influence of advertising is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it informs
consumers about product choices and innovations, which is undeniably beneficial.
On the other hand, it can perpetuate consumerism and create unrealistic
expectations, especially among vulnerable groups like children and teenagers.
Thus, while advertising plays a vital role in market economies, its impact should be
critically evaluated to ensure it doesn't lead to negative societal outcomes.

The process of making important decisions varies greatly among individuals. Some
people rely heavily on logical analysis, weighing the pros and cons meticulously
before reaching a conclusion. Others might base their decisions more on intuition
or emotional responses. Additionally, many seek advice from trusted friends,
family, or professionals to gain different perspectives. Ultimately, it's a blend of
these approaches, coupled with past experiences and personal values, that guides
individuals in their decision-making process.

NOISES
Doyouliketostayinnoisyplaces?
I believe that no one would prefer living in crowded, noisy and complicated
environment and I am not an exception.
Personally, I prefer quieter and peaceful environments/ surroundings. I find it
easier to concentrate and unwind when there's less noise around. Apart from that,
noise pollution, in can be quite stressful and annoying. So, if I choose to reside,
study or chillout, I’m much into quieter area.
2Doyouthinkyourcityisnoisy?
To be honest, my city- Danang is flourishing the tourism significantly. Therefore,
there are numerous night markets, pubs and bars across the city. However,
fortunately, my city has a few tranquil spots, like parks, mountains, beaches and
many other natural reserves including BaNa Hills, Son Tra
Peninsula, and so on, where you can escape the hustle and bustle. What’s more,
these places offer a peaceful retreat from the daily grind.

People have the right to enjoy themselves, but it's more essential to strike a
balance. To explain clearly, I mean on some special occasions, we can hold a party
at home but it should be within the limitation like you make noise and enjoy until
10pm to respect noise regulations and not disrupt or annoy others because you
should live in harmony with your neighbors.
strike a balance: đạt được sự cân bằng
within the limitation: trong giới hạn
Respect/ obey noise regulations: tôn trọng những qui định về tiếng ồn
live in harmony with neighbors: sống chan hòa với hang xóm quanh mình
4/ What is the noisiest place you have been to?
PUPBLICTRANSPORTATION
1/ Do you often use public transport?
To be completely honest, mass transit in Vietnam is not very popular for citizens
here due to the fact that the distance to travel/ move around is not too far about 10-
20 km per day. Besides that, our city hasn’t witnessed heavy/ severe traffic
congestion like other big cities, so I tend to avoid using it. Instead, I would prefer
to travel on my private transport, especially motorbikes for its convenience.
Last but not least, public transport in my city are pretty old fashion and unreliable.
Hopefully, the government would raise the quality standards of public transport;
otherwise, I can’t see myself getting/ trying on any kind of public transport
anytime soon.
mass transit (n) = public transport
subpar (adj) = below-average
unreliable = not able to be trusted
raise the quality standards of public transport: nâng cao tiêu chuẩn chất lượng của
các phương tiện công cộng
I can’t see myself (doing something) = I won’t (do something)
2/ What kind of public transportation do you usually take?
As mentioned before, I’m not very much into public transportation. Then you may
probably guess, rarely do I use them to commute. But every once in a while, I do
take a coach to mountainous places far from my home such as BN Hills, Sapa and
so on… as this would save me from the hassle of driving while I could take a
quick/ short nap.
A coach: xe đò
every once in a while: thi thoảng
save me from the hassle of: giúp tôi thoát khỏi sự phiền hà (khi phải làm gì đó)
3/ Did you take public transportation when you were a kid?
I used to take a coach to visit my mom’s hometown in HG when I was small. Back
to that time, I still remembered the terrible feelings to try on this kind of PT.
People brought everything with them from the cattle to vegetables, which smelt
very stinky. I felt very annoyed to adapt with this situation. Therefore, I tend to
avoid commuting them until now. However, everything has much changed but it
still has unforgettable impression for me about mass transit system.
4/ Will there be more people taking public transportation in the future?
Well, hopefully, I think, based on the current situation of public transport use, it’s
predictable that more people would prefer to choose MT in the future. You know,
global warming is on the rise and the Earth is becoming more and more populous
and uninhabitable, so I think public transportation would be the only way to
combat global warming and traffic congestion. So, I’m all for people traveling on
public transport. But I do think that the current system needs a revamp.

LEARNINGLANGUAGES
1. Do you like learning languages?
Absolutely, I am always keen on mastering some new languages because I believe
language skills are the key to opportunities. You know, if I am bilingual or
multilingual, I can travel to other parts of the world with ease and expand my
horizon while talking to people from different countries.
Bilingual (adj): biết nói 2 thứ tiếng
Multilingual (adj): biết nói nhiều thứ tiếng
Expand one’s horizon: mở rộng tầm mắt
2. What languages can you speak?
My mother tongue is Vietnamese and I am also studying English as my second
language throughout school since I was in the 3 grade. I am now struggling with it
rd
to achieve my goal with a 6.5 IELTS when I graduate High School but I still have
a long way to go. I’m expecting to register for Chinese classes in the near future
because of its widespread use and numerous benefits that come along with it.
Mother tongue (n): tiếng mẹ đẻ
Have a long way to go: còn chặng đường dài phía trước (chỉ sự khó khăn)
3. How did you learn the languages that you know?
I think the most effective way to learn a language is to practice more with native
speakers. I made a lot of foreign friends who speak English so I try to talk to them
as much as possible. With other languages, I’m making frequent use of studying
applications, which are doing a great job in reminding me to keep up with my
study plans.
Do a great job: làm tốt
Keep up with s.th: theo kịp cái gì
4. Do you think that English is difficult to learn?
I learned how to familiarize myself with the language from a tender age, so I did
not have to struggle to learn English at all. By incorporating English learning into
my everyday life, I was able to understand almost everything written in English
since I was pretty young. But, of course, it did take quite a long time to be able to
speak and write the language fluently.
Familiarize (v): làm quen
Incorporate (v): kết hợp
5. Do you think foreigners should learn your country’s language when they arrive
there?
Vietnamese is a tonal language with six different tones that dictate the meaning of
a word. The high number of vowel sounds also prove difficult for English speakers
to nail down. But I think it’s obviously in their best interest to pick up a few basic
words or phrases in our native language because it is fun and would transform their
traveling experience in a way they never knew before.
Tonal language: ngôn ngữ có thanh điệu
Dictate: đọc (chính tả)
Nail down: thành công, đạt được

father were in suit. For female, my mom made up for everyone very light to look

moment with bright smile. All members were looking at my parents who were the
main characters in the shooting.

She is definitely my mom, not from a stranger that I don’t know. Even though my

and decorating beautifully. At first glance, she gives us an impressive feeling about

very lucky to have her as my mom and my best cook, and feel a little guilty that I
don’t enjoy what she cooks in return! it is at least my contribution to be her
appreciative consumer always

Well this is really a challenging topic for me right now due to the fact that I

foreigners who was very popular these days is Kyo York.
To many people who are addicted to Tv, maybe he is not very unfamiliar.
However, during a stop by my friend’s house on last summer, I recognized him
with considerable interest.
Kyo York was born in New York, in 1985. He first came to Vietnam through a
voluntary activity in Hau Giang Province to teach English for the locals there. At
first, by living with locals, he got to know about the lifestyle, culture and
traditions. The most fantastic thing is he loves listening to Trinh Cong Son music
and he imitated to sing along. The most profoundly surprising about him is he
learns Vietnamese by himself. If he doesn’t understand well a word, or a sentence,
he will ask his local friend here to explain.
Until now, his Vietnamese are very impressive. at stands out about Kyo’s language
ability is his enthusiasm and his ability to communicate effectively in everyday
situations. However, what makes others admire him most that is right he is a very
renowned singer in Vietnam. He can sing Vietnamese songs beautifully and is
invited to join many different Vietnamese games shows.
In a nutshell, his journey to learn Vietnamese reflects his dedication and passion
for languages, making him a positive example for language learners, not only
Vietnamese but also other foreign languages

The signature game there is the sun wheel, which is the huge round wheel, helping

was the first time in a long time that I can have some down time for myself. At
first, I didn’t know what to do with 24 hours of doing nothing. But eventually I
made up my mind. First thing first, in the morning, I took up my weights and did a
short routine of workout to get myself in gear. The majority of morning, I spent in
the kitchen because I am a huge fan of baking and it’s seen a while since I last heat
up my oven. So, I made a wonderful freshly cake, homemade sourdough. It was
very delicous. In the afternoon, me and my housemate, we enjoy my bread
together. We had a few laughs, has a drink or two. It was overall enjoyable. In the
evening, initially I’ve had half a mind to watch movie that I’ve been dying to
watch. But well, there was a change of plan, and I was not in the mood anymore.

I don’t have a habit of buying things, but my kryptonite is high-tech devices. I love

noteable example is my GoPro Camera, which I have bought quite recently. It’s a
new model with high advanced functions, such as slo-mo recording, 4K videos and
many more. But it can be quite hard to operate, mainly because of its short battery
life and sometimes the touch screen can be very unresponsive. I had to work a lot
to get used to how to use the camera correctly and I failed many times at first,
trying to make a proper video. But I didn’t regret buying it, although I spent nearly
$300 on the thing, not to mention accessories. I know it’s a litte bit hard to usebut

𝟏 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲.
Absolutely, I firmly believe that a comprehensive understanding of history is
essential for everyone. This is because history not only enriches our knowledge of
the past but also provides invaluable lessons for the future. Moreover, it fosters a
sense of identity and cultural awareness. Therefore, knowing history can
significantly contribute to a well-rounded education and a more informed society.
𝟐 𝐈𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲.
Children can learn history through a variety of engaging methods. Traditional
classroom teaching, employing textbooks and lectures, is the most common
approach. However, interactive methods like educational field trips to historical
sites, role-playing historical events, and using digital tools like interactive games or
apps can make learning history more enjoyable and memorable for children. Such
diverse approaches cater to different learning styles, making history accessible and
interesting for every child.

Learning history from books and from videos offers distinctly different
experiences. Books, typically, provide a more in-depth and detailed understanding
of historical events, encouraging critical thinking and imagination. Conversely,
videos offer a more visual and engaging way to learn, often making complex
historical concepts easier to grasp. They also have the advantage of showcasing
actual footage or realistic reenactments, providing a more immersive learning
experience. Both mediums, however, are crucial in offering a well-rounded
historical education.

Protecting and preserving historic buildings is indeed a challenging task. These
structures often require specialized restoration techniques and materials, which can
be costly and time-consuming. Additionally, balancing the need to preserve these
buildings with the demands of modern urban development poses a significant
challenge. Environmental factors also play a role, as these buildings are often
susceptible to damage from pollution and climate change.
𝟓 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬.
The responsibility for protecting historic buildings should be a collective effort.
Government bodies should play a leading role in legislating and funding
preservation efforts. However, local communities and heritage organizations also
have a vital part to play in advocating for and maintaining these buildings. Public

Funding for the preservation of historic buildings should come from a variety of
sources. Primarily, government funding is crucial, given the public interest in
preserving cultural heritage. However, private sector investment can also play a
significant role, especially through partnerships and sponsorships. Additionally,
community fundraising and international grants, particularly for world heritage
sites, are also essential sources of funding. This multi-faceted approach ensures a
sustainable financial model for preservation efforts.

equipment ready is important to facilitate the cooking process. Lastly, a basic

Absolutely, food plays a central role in Chinese festivals and ceremonies. It's not
only about nourishment but also about cultural expression and tradition. For

Yes, there are differences. With friends, there's a closer bond and more personal
sharing. We usually choose friends based on common interests, so conversations

social norms. While these relationships can be friendly, they usually lack the depth

"Undoubtedly, advertisements are designed to influence consumer decisions. They
employ various strategies, such as emotional appeal and celebrity endorsements, to
create a perceived need or preference for a product. This is particularly evident in

To be completely honest, mass transit in Vietnam is not very popular for citizens
here due to the fact that the distance to travel/ move around is not too far about 10-

congestion like other big cities, so I tend to avoid using it. Instead, I would prefer
to travel on my private transport, especially motorbikes for its convenience.
Last but not least, public transport in my city are pretty old fashion and unreliable.
Hopefully, the government would raise the quality standards of public transport;

probably guess, rarely do I use them to commute. But every once in a while, I do
take a coach to mountainous places far from my home such as BN Hills, Sapa and
so on… as this would save me from the hassle of driving while I could take a quick/ short nap.
All for: ủng hộ Revamp (n.): nâng cấp LEARNINGLANGUAGES
1. Do you like learning languages?
Absolutely, I am always keen on mastering some new languages because I believe
language skills are the key to opportunities. You know, if I am bilingual or
multilingual, I can travel to other parts of the world with ease and expand my
horizon while talking to people from different countries.
Bilingual (adj): biết nói 2 thứ tiếng
Multilingual (adj): biết nói nhiều thứ tiếng
Expand one’s horizon: mở rộng tầm mắt
2. What languages can you speak?
My mother tongue is Vietnamese and I am also studying English as my second
language throughout school since I was in the 3rd grade. I am now struggling with it
to achieve my goal with a 6.5 IELTS when I graduate High School but I still have
a long way to go.
With other languages, I’m making frequent use of studying
applications, which are doing a great job in reminding me to keep up with my study plans.
Familiarize (v): làm quen Incorporate (v): kết hợp
5. Do you think foreigners should learn your country’s language when they arrive there?
Vietnamese is a tonal language with six different tones that dictate the meaning of
a word. The high number of vowel sounds also prove difficult for English speakers
to nail down. But I think it’s obviously in their best interest to pick up a few basic
words or phrases in our native language because it is fun and would transform their
traveling experience in a way they never knew before.

I would beg you that almost everyone in this world is always think that family is
the most important thing in life. And without a doubt, I do have the same answer.
Then, I would share with you about my family photo which was taken by Mai’s
wedding, a professional studio, situated in Nguyen Van Linh Street in my
hometown on my parent’s 20th wedding anniversary.
This was a family portrait, including my grandparents, my parents, my younger
sister and me. Everyone was in the white dress code while my grandfather and my
father were in suit. For female, my mom made up for everyone very light to look
natural not overblown (quá lố). The photographer captured our best and natural
moment with bright smile. All members were looking at my parents who were the
main characters in the shooting.
It is placed on my table in my room to remind me about my cozy family with the
love embraced the whole picture. It encourages me to try harder in study in order
to make my parents proud of. What’s more, it contained fully all members in
family since right my grandfather passed away. f This left our family a huge

to appreciate with what we are having now, sharing and supporting each other

Not sure about the others, but I always try to take my time to learn about or talk to
a cook that I admire the most since I was in the 10th grade. To me, she is one of the best cooks I have ever known.
She is definitely my mom, not from a stranger that I don’t know. Even though my
mom doesn’t work in any famous restaurant or experience any professional
cooking class, she always gives us the dedicated love in there.
Since I was born and grown up with her, she knew me more than anyone else in
this world. That is the reason why she understands my tastes and my flavor quite
well. So, I don’t have to tell my mom what I am craving for, but she still makes my favorite dishes.
By using fresh and quality materials, quite simple recipes often, but tasty nutritious
and decorating beautifully. At first glance, she gives us an impressive feeling about
looking the dishes not only in our family but also my friends and relatives. I feel
very lucky to have her as my mom and my best cook, and feel a little guilty that I
don’t enjoy what she cooks in return! it is at least my contribution to be her appreciative consumer always

Well this is really a challenging topic for me right now due to the fact that I
haven’t spent much time about entertainment. I would think about one of the
foreigners who was very popular these days is Kyo York.
To many people who are addicted to Tv, maybe he is not very unfamiliar.
However, during a stop by my friend’s house on last summer, I recognized him with considerable interest.

With the convenient location, there are various ways to get there , including buses,

Now due to the fact that I am buried with my study, I go there every once in a

The park has different games all year round, which is suitable for kids and all ages.
The signature game there is the sun wheel, which is the huge round wheel, helping
people enjoy the spectacular view of the whole city at night.
What’s more, there are other gorgeous scenes for tourists to check in and post their

during the Covic 19 outbreak in March, I have had a whole day off for myself. It
was the first time in a long time that I can have some down time for myself. At
first, I didn’t know what to do with 24 hours of doing nothing.
In the afternoon, me and my housemate, we enjoy my bread

evening, initially I’ve had half a mind to watch movie that I’ve been dying to

Absolutely, I firmly believe that a comprehensive understanding of history is
essential for everyone. This is because history not only enriches our knowledge of

Children can learn history through a variety of engaging methods. Traditional
classroom teaching, employing textbooks and lectures, is the most common

Learning history from books and from videos offers distinctly different
experiences. Books, typically, provide a more in-depth and detailed understanding

videos offer a more visual and engaging way to learn, often making complex

The responsibility for protecting historic buildings should be a collective effort.
Government bodies should play a leading role in legislating and funding

Funding for the preservation of historic buildings should come from a variety of
sources. Primarily, government funding is crucial, given the public interest in
preserving cultural heritage. However, private sector investment can also play a
significant role, especially through partnerships and sponsorships. Additionally,
community fundraising and international grants, particularly for world heritage
sites, are also essential sources of funding. This multi-faceted approach ensures a
sustainable financial model for preservation efforts. 𝐕𝐕𝐕𝐕𝐕 🔥

shared interests is another good way. Nowadays, online platforms also provide
opportunities to meet new people. They can connect those with similar interests or
in similar situations, even if they are geographically distant. 𝟒 𝐂

Clothing can to some extent reflect a person’s personality. For example, someone
who wears bold colors might be outgoing, while someone who chooses more
conservative attire might be more reserved. However, it's important to remember
that clothes are just one way people express themselves and don't tell the whole
story about someone’s personality. 𝟓 𝐖𝐡 . 𝐲 𝐝

Even in the same family, individuals grow up having different experiences and
influences, which contribute to their unique personalities. Factors like their age, the
role they play in the family, and their individual experiences outside the family –
like with friends or at school – all play a part. This variety in experiences and
perspectives is what leads to each family member developing their own distinct personality. 𝟔 𝐇 . 𝐨𝐰 𝐝 𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐬 𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐈

Society certainly influences our personality. It shapes our values, beliefs, and
behavior through cultural norms, expectations, and the roles we are expected to
play. For example, in a society that values community, people might develop more
cooperative and empathetic traits. However, individual experiences and choices
also play a significant role in shaping our personality, alongside societal influences. 𝐕𝐕𝐕𝐕𝐕 🔥
