In the past, it was unbelievable for a couple to have a child later in life. However, in modern life,
an increasing number of people postpone giving birth to babies soon. Therefore, I would like to
discuss their advantages and disadvantages from two perspectives.
It is obvious that the older the parents, the more mature they are. Parents who are over the age
of 35 have experienced various challenges which make it easier for them to know how to bring
up their child wisely and possess the foresight to give future orientation. Another point in favor
of having children late is that parents have more financial stability. For instance, they do not
have to pay attention to making money, older parents can focus on supplying a high-quality
environment for the family and taking care of children.
On the other hand, giving birth to children late also indicates some negative consequences.
According to scientists, the older the parents are the more potential risks for the mother and
child. Middle-aged parents can suffer from health problems such as gestational diabetes or a
higher rate of miscarriages. Therefore, some babies are not able to grow up in the best physical
health. In addition, older parents may have trouble relating to their children and cannot keep up
with the latest trends like music, technology, and so on. This can lead to a bigger age gap
between the two generations which parents and children have different ideas and perspectives.
To sum up, delaying having children soon has both positive aspects and negative aspects.
Therefore the decision depends on each couple. Moreover, it is important to think carefully
about what you believes is the best for parents and children
