-Tính từ sở hữu là những từ đứng trước danh từ để chỉ sự sở hữu. EX: her book, his car……
- Đại từ sở hữu là những từ dùng để thay thế cho danh từ khi ta không muốn nhắc lại lần 2.
Ex: thay vì dùng : “that camera is my camera” that camera is mine. MẠO TỪ ( THE ARTICLE) 1.
Mạo từ không xác định ( A / AN) -
A: đứng trước danh từ số ít Ex: a book, a car, a chair,… -
An: đứng trước danh từ số ít bắt đầu bằng các nguyên âm : “ u, e, o, a, i”
Ex: an umbrella, an apple, an actor,… 2. Mạo từ xác định ( THE)
-Với danh từ đã được nhắc đến trước đó
Ex: they have two brothers. The younger one is a doctor
( họ có hai người anh trai. Người trẻ hơn là bác sĩ )
-Với vật thể được xem là duy nhất Ex: the sun , the earth,…..
-Trong dạng so sánh hơn nhất
Ex: the biggest, the smallest,…. 3. Không dùng mạo từ
-Với bữa ăn, ngày, tháng, và các sự kiện đặc biệt trong năm Ex: have a lunch have lunch
