A. Warm up (8 minutes)
Sing the “Phonics song”

a. Objectives: Students can sing the Phonics song.
b. Content: Singing the Phonics song.
c. Expected outcomes and assessment:
- Task completed with excellence: Students can sing the Phonics song correctly and beautifully.
- Task completed: Students can sing the Phonics song correctly.
- Task uncompleted: Students can sing the Phonics song but with some difficulties. d. Organization Teacher’s activities Students’ activities

Option 1: “Touch” game
− Divide the class into four teams. − - Follow and do as guided.
Have one student from each team stand a distance from the board.
− Stick some flashcards on the board.
− Says a letter or a word. (E.g., Please touch letter “S” - Join the game. three times!)
− Have the students race to the board, touch that flashcard,
and say the correct word. The first student to touch the
flashcard and say the word gets a point for their team. Continue with other students.
Option 2: “Guess the word” game
− Divide the class into four teams. Page 1 of 4
− Write a word on the board with several or all letters
missing. (E.g., _ _ _ – sun) - Follow and do as guided.
− Have each team take turns calling out a letter.
− Add the missing letters to the word if correctly guessed. −
- Join the game, try to say the correct
Give that team one point if it’s a correct guess. − word.
Continue until the students guess the word correctly.

- Play audio and demonstrate the activity using the example. - Listen and draw lines.

Play audio again and check answers as a whole class.
2. Task B. Play “Magic Finger” (8 minutes)
a. Objectives: Students will be able to play “Magic Finger”.
b. Contents: Playing “Magic Finger”.
c. Expected outcomes and assessment
- Task completed with excellence: Students can play “Magic Finger” correctly.
- Task completed: Students can play “Magic Finger” but with minor difficulty.
- Task uncompleted: Students have difficulty in playing “Magic Finger”. d. Organization Teacher’s activities Students’ activities
B. Play “Magic Finger”.
- Have students look at the example.
- Divide the class into pairs.
- Have Student A write a number with their finger on - Listen and do as guided.
Student B's back and ask, e.g., “How many balls are there?” - Join the game.
- Have Student B try to guess which number it is and
answer, e.g., “Twelve balls.”. Have students swap roles and repeat. “Mingle” game
- Prepares some flashcards or pictures and sticks them on the board.
