A. Warm up (8 minutes)
Sing and dance “The Wheels on The Bus” song

a. Objectives: Students can sing the Phonics song.
b. Content: Singing the Phonics song.
c. Expected outcomes and assessment:
- Task completed with excellence: Students can sing the Phonics song correctly and beautifully.
- Task completed: Students can sing the Phonics song correctly.
- Task uncompleted: Students can sing the Phonics song but with some difficulties.

Option 1: “Bang!” game
Divide the class into four groups.
Prepare some pieces of paper, write words or letters on
them, fold them in half, then, put them into four boxes.
Also add a few cards that say "BANG!".
Give each group a box.
Students take turns picking cards.
If they read out the word correctly, they will keep the
word. If they get a “BANG!” card, they will yell
“BANG!” and then return all their cards (except the
BANG! card) to the can/box.
After three minutes, the group that has most words in total is
the winner.

Option 2: “Jump” game
Divide the class into four teams.
Have one student from each team stand a distance from
the board.
Draw four big circles on the floor. Each circle has a
letter (R/r, S/s, T/t, U/u)
Call out one word (E.g., rabbit). The students try to jump
into the circle with the corresponding letter.
The winner is the student who jumps into the correct letter
circle first.
