3. Procedures
A. Warm up (8 minutes)
Sing the “Phonics song”
(Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BELlZKpi1Zs) and join the game.
a. Objectives: Students can sing the Phonics song.
b. Content: Singing the Phonics song.
c. Expected outcomes and assessment:
- Task completed with excellence: Students can sing the Phonics song correctly and beautifully.
- Task completed: Students can sing the Phonics song correctly.
- Task uncompleted: Students can sing the Phonics song but with some difficulties.

Alphabet Soup” game
- Place plastic letters in a bowl.
- Divide flashcards by their beginning letters and put them
next to the bowl.
- Divide the class into two groups.
Have one student from each group go to the board. One
student picks up a letter from a bowl and write it on the
board, the other student finds the flashcards associated with
that letter.
Option 1: "Bingo" game
- Divide the class into groups of five.
- Write some words on the board.
- Have students choose nine words on the board and write
them down on their piece of paper.
- One student read the words aloud.
- Sing the “Phonics song”.
- Follow and do as guided.
- Join the game.

- Tell the students that any time his/her friend reads a word
that they have written down, they can cross out that word.
- When one student has crossed out three words in a vertical
or horizontal or diagonal line, then, shouts "Bingo!".
Option 2: “Card recall” game
- Give each student five letter cards and have them work in
pairs.
- Student 1 of each pair shows his/ her friend the cards and
counts to ten then places them face down on the desk.
- Student 2 has to recall what the five letters and the words
that begin with those letters are. Swap roles.
- Follow and do as guided.
- Join the game, try to recall what the
five letters and the words that begin
with those letters are (their peers
have shown before).

a. Objectives: Students will be able to listen and draw lines to match the people with their feelings.
b. Contents: Listening and drawing lines to match the people with their feelings.

- Task completed with excellence: Students can listen and draw lines to match the people with
their feelings correctly.

- Task completed: Students can play the “Chain” game but with minor difficulty.
- Task uncompleted: Students have difficulty in playing the “Chain” game.

- Listen and do as guided.
- Join the game.

- Demonstrate the game by giving the students different
