To meet the requirements mentioned above, this study mainly focus on
examining the challenges faced in incorporating sex education as a standalone
subject within Vietnam's education system. Regarding legal and regulatory issues,
this study utilizes the official dispatch of the Ministry of Education to the petition
from voters before the second session of the 15th National Assembly on October
3rd (850/BGDĐT-GDTH) to analyze existing policies and practices related to sex
education in the country, including guidelines regarding its inclusion in the
curriculum. The study will also examine the public perspectives and attitudes of
educators, parents, and students towards sex education, including their beliefs,
values, and concerns. Furthermore, the research may involve conducting
interviews, surveys, or focus groups with educators, parents, and students to
gather qualitative and quantitative data.
Aim
The findings of this research will contribute to a better understanding of the
obstacles and opportunities associated with turning sex education into an
independent subject in Vietnam's education system. It may provide
recommendations for policymakers, educators, and other stakeholders on how to
address the challenges and promote the effective implementation of
comprehensive sex education in Vietnam.
Objectives
-To assess the current status of sex education in Vietnam, including its content,
delivery methods, and integration into the curriculum.
- To analyze the existing policies and practices related to sex education in
Vietnam, including any guidelines or regulations regarding its inclusion in the
curriculum.
- To examine the perspectives and attitudes of educators, parents, and students
towards sex education in Vietnam, including their beliefs, values, and concerns.
From that, exploring the readiness of teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to
support the inclusion of sex education as an independent subject.
