I. Family
a) Do you have a large or small family?
I live in a nuclear family of six members, including my parents, 2 older sisters,
one younger brother, and me. My family has a common passion for music, so we
often spend our free time singing karaoke together on the weekend.
b) How much time do you spend with your family?
Currently, I’m living in Hue to work. I don't have much time for family like before.
However, I always try to call my parents every day at dinner time and make
time to visit home twice a month
c) What do you like to do together as a family?
My family enjoys cooking together. My mom always wants to make delicious food
for my family. She will cook, and the others will help her prepare materials to
cook. We enjoy music as well. So, when we get together, we play several musical instruments and sing along.
d) Who are you closest to in your family?
I am closest to my s. We have a special connection and share a deep
understanding of each other. I feel comfortable sharing my thoughts with her and
receiving helpful advice from her. II. Learning English a)
How long have you been learning English?
I have been learning English as a basic subject for about 10 years. In my country,
English is considered as a compulsory subject for any students to development their communication skills
b) Do you have difficulties learning English?/
In your opinion, what aspects of learning English are the most difficult?
Yes I do, I meet many difficulties in listening, Although English is such an
interesting subject. Regarding listening skills, I can't listen well to English.
Because of my poor English vocabulary, I cannot understand much when other people speak English to me III. Hobbies
a) Do you have any hobbies?
Definitely yes, Travelling is like a hobby for me. It’s a wonderful experience
every time. Traveling helps me explore new things, and new culture and broaden my knowledge a lot.
b) Did you have a hobby as a child?
When I was a little girl, play with baby dolls is my all-time favorite hobby. I
spent hours on sewing the new clothes for the dolls and shared with them any stories I met in a day
c) What free-time activities would you like to try in the future?
I have frequently thought of taking up swimming sessions. I realize they would
effectively benefit my health and further enhance the beauty of my shape. IV. Daily Routine
a. What is your daily routine?
I'm an early raiser and I get up at 5am every day to complete all of my morning
activity list. After that, I work until 5 pm. I usually surf the Internet for around an
hour after dinner then I learn English. I call it a day around 11pm and repeat the circle at 5am the day after.
b. Do you usually have the same routine every day?
Certainly. To be perfectly honest, I strongly believe repeating good same habits
and activities on a daily basis is the best way to success. Of course, there are
some problems sometimes, but I quickly get back to my normal schedule once I get things done.
c. What part of your day do you like best?
I enjoy it late at night when I come home from work. To me, it’s a great time to
kick back on the bed to chit-chat with my friends, surf the Internet, listen to
music, or watch a favorite movie.
d. What would you like to change in your daily routine?
To be honest, I'm quite comfortable with my daily schedule now. However, I wish
I had more than 24 hours per day to learn and develop myself even more. V. Traveling
a) Do you like travelling?
Yes, I do enjoy traveling a lot. Exploring new places, trying different cuisines,
and learning about various cultures are experiences that I cherish.
b) Have you done much travelling?
Yes, I have. I've visited most of the big cities and tourist attractions in
Vietnam, I have been to more than 30 provinces and cities in Vietnam. and
I've been abroad a few times as well such as in Thailand, Malaysia, China.
c) What kind of places have you visited in your life?
I've had the opportunity to visit a variety of places. In Vietnam, I've explored
bustling cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as the mountain beauty
of Ha Giang and Sapa. Internationally, I've been to cities in Thailand,
Malaysia, each with its own unique charm and cultural experiences.
d) When you visit new places, what do you like to do?
When visiting new places, I like to immerse myself in the local culture. Trying
traditional foods, visiting historical sites, and interacting with locals to
understand their way of life are things I always prioritize. Also, I enjoy
capturing the moments through photography to cherish the memories.
e) Do you prefer traveling alone or in a group?
Personally, I enjoy traveling with a group of friends or family. It's wonderful to
share experiences and create memories together. The laughter and
conversations make the journey more enjoyable, and we often discover new things collectively VI. Hometown a) Where are you from?
I originally come from Dai Loc District in Quang Nam province. It’s peaceful
countryside in the central part of Vietnam Quang Nam. - The combination of
natural beauty, delicious food and a welcoming community
b) What do you like about your hometown?
I really like the personalities of the local people here & the quiet countryside
scene. People in Quang Nam are gentle and generous. My hometown is very
familiar, neighbors caring for neighbors
c) Is there anything you dislike about it?
While I adore my hometown of Quang Nam for its natural beauty there are a
few aspects I’m not particularly fond of. One of the challenges is the limited
employment opportunities, which often lead many young people, including
friends of mine, to seek better job prospects in larger cities.
d) What is it known for?
My city is known for the culture, the people and especially food. When you
have time to go and enjoy, please let try the tasty dish is called Bánh Tráng

a. What do you think are the most important qualities for friends to have?
Maybe the most important things are that friends need to share common interests and be
honest with each other. I think I would struggle to become friends with someone who
didn’t have anything in common with me, or who wasn’t reliable or trustworthy.
b. Do you think it is better to have a few good friends or many different friendships?
I would prefer to have one close friend instead of a good deal of friends. The
reason is simply that the former will surely be there for you when you need
support but the latter will or will not. That’s why I would go for a good friend who is a shoulder to cry on. Situation 2

a. What kind of possessions do people value in your country?
That’s an interesting question. I suppose people tend to see modern devices as valuable.
b. Has it always been the same or did people value different things in the past?
I've never thought about that before but if I had to guess, I'd say it hasn't changed much.

Peer pressure results from wanting to be liked and accepted by your friends

Peer pressure can promote healthy behaviors when young people are influenced by positive role models.
c. What can people do to reduce fear in everyday situations such as exams? avoid negative thinking focus on positive thinking Situation 4
You are students who love to join one of the following sports clubs in your
university: football, badminton, chess. You discuss with each other which sport
would be most suitable for both of you. Follow-up questions:
a. What types of sports are popular in your country?
Due to the fact that Vietnamese people seem to have a healthy lifestyle, I would say
that we love all kinds of sports. However, if I had to choose the most popular one, it
would be soccer, which is known as the king of sport.
b. What are the benefits of playing a sport?
Well, there are plenty of advantages to playing sports which helps to burn a great
number of calories. Therefore, sports players usually have a fit body. Besides, doing
exercise regularly also enhances our state of health, increases resistance to illness, and
improves blood circulation. Last but not least, people can also expand their social
circle by joining a club or a sports team.
c. Do you think children get enough exercise these days?
No, I don’t think so. It seems that children worldwide aren’t getting
enough physical activity. They spend too much time sitting in front
of computers or tablets instead of being outside playing and exercising.
