A. Christmas in UK 1. Why was Jesus born?
- God sent his son Jesus as “the image of the invisible God,
the firstborn over all creation” (Col 1:15) (Colossian
chapter 1) (Bible: kinh thánh)
2. Why was he born in a manger: máng cỏ of a cold and dirty
place but not in a gorgeous palace?
- Joseph and Mary had just made the trek from Nazareth t
o Bethlehem, which was no easy feat, especially with Ma
ry 9 months pregnant and ready to give birth at any time.
- When whey arrived in Bethlehem, which was right outsi
de of Jerusalem, Mary was ready to deliver, but when th
ey went to the local inn, there were no rooms available.
- Instead they found a small cave behind the inn that was
used for a stable. It was there that Mary gave birth to he r first-born son, Jesus.
3. Why do most people in Britain celebrate Christmas?
- Because most of them are Christains and Christmas is an
event to celebrate Jesus was born.
4. How is Christmas celebrated in Britain and in Vietnam?
- In Britain: Carol singing: hát thánh ca, midnight church s
ervices and pub crawls: quán rượu bò are some of the ac
tivities enjoyed by many families (sometimes you can co
mbine all three activities into one fun night out).
- In Vietnam: For many Vietnamese (mixed with Buddhism
and Christains), Christmas is more of a novelty: Sự mới lạ,
with locals, especially the youth, enjoying the festivities
through decorations, shopping, and photo sessions.

largest population. It is home to the seat of the UK

8. The first invaders of Britain?
- The first one took place in 400BC when Celts armed with
weapons conquered Kent and much of Southern England.
- Descendants still live in Ireland and Scotland. The roman invasion:
- The Roman civilization: culture, construction and Christianity
- In410, the Roman left Britain with little left behind’
9. What are their most important/ remarkable contributions or effects? -
10. What is Stonehenge?Who built it? Why was it built? How was it built?
- Stonehenge was built by Iberians
- Archaeologists believe that Stonehenge was constructed in
several phases from around 3100 BC to 1600 BC. -
