H. Assessment Methods (Requirements for Completion of the Course):
1. Description of learning outcomes assessment
The assessments for this course comprise the following components:
On-going assessments:
Assignment 1 10% - Weeks 02-05 : Students in groups of 3-4 present highlights on
assigned chapters regarding Leveraging available online websites or
webpages to teach language skills. One group presentation will be assessed
based on a specific set of criteria at 80% (see Appendix: RUBRIC 1) together
with Peer assessments at 20% (see Appendix: RUBRIC 1).
Assignment 2 10% - Week 07 : Students have to design and submit a lesson plan
(classroom activity plan with integrated online media) in soft-copies (via
Mlearning). Activity designs can be done from home and then submitted.
Marking using RUBRIC 2, see Appendix.
Assignment 3 10% - Week 12 : This requires students to submit a videoed lesson (e.g.
Teaching simple present tense) made by using Plug-in iSpring Suite on
PAGE 4 OF 12
PowerPoint, Window Movie Maker, Bandicam or introduced professional
video makers. Individual submissions are on Mlearning.
Group projects 30% - Week 10: This midterm assignment is done by groups of 3-4 students.
Groups are required to brainstorm, plan and design a webpage/website that
teaches, after inductions of the course instructor about website design
conventions. Assessments are based on a specific set of criteria at 80% (see
Appendix: RUBRIC 3) together with Peer assessments at 20% (Appendix:
RUBRIC 3).
Final individual project 40% - Due Week 15 : Individuals are required to create an
electronic quiz (testing mode) using the software iSpring Suite Quizmaker (or
an alternative Adobe Presenter) for 60 minutes of administration.
Submissions must include 02 files one raw quiz and one published .exe/.html
quiz handed in via Mlearning. Rubric for marking this work is at the
Appendix: RUBRIC 4.
ALTERNATIVE: Students are required to design an elearning (mlearning)
course of 8-week contents. See Appendix.

I. Academic Integrity
Academic integrity is a fundamental value in all matters of academic life. To ensure the maintenance
of academic integrity at Hoa Sen University, students are required to:
1. Work independently on individual assignments
Collaborating on individual assignments is considered cheating.
2. Avoid plagiarism
Plagiarism is an act of fraud that involves the use of ideas or words of another person without
proper attribution. Students will be considered to have plagiarised if:
i. Texts are directly copied without quotation and citation
ii. Paraphrased and/or translated text is copied without appropriate referencing.
3. Work responsibly within a working group
In cooperative group assignments, all students are required to stay on task and contribute
equally to the projects. Group reports should clearly state the contribution of each group
member.
4. Generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools
Students may incorporate generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools, such as ChatGPT, into
their learning process, except where otherwise noted. However, utilizing content generated by
an AI tool without appropriate attributions constitutes plagiarism. All submitted work must
accurately reflect their own efforts.
The reference and in-text citations:
- OpenAI. (2023). ChatGPT (Mar 14 version) [Large language model].

- Parenthetical citation: (OpenAI, 2023)
- Narrative citation: OpenAI (2023)
Any act of academic dishonesty will result in a grade of zero for the task at hand and/or
immediate failure of the course, depending on the seriousness of the ethical breach. Please
consult the Hoa Sen University Policy on Plagiarism at http://thuvien.hoasen.edu.vn/chinh-
sach-phong-tranh-dao-van. To ensure the maintenance of academic integrity, the university
asks that students report cases of academic dishonesty to the teacher and/or the Dean. The
names of those students who make reports will be kept anonymous.

H. Assessment Methods (Requirements for Completion of the Course):
1. Description of learning outcomes assessment
The assessments for this course comprise the following components: On-going assessments: Assignment 1
10% - Weeks 02-05: Students in groups of 3-4 present highlights on
assigned chapters regarding Leveraging available online websites or
webpages to teach language skills. One group presentation will be assessed
based on a specific set of criteria at 80% (see Appendix: RUBRIC 1) together
with Peer assessments at 20% (see Appendix: RUBRIC 1). Assignment 2
10% - Week 07: Students have to design and submit a lesson plan
(classroom activity plan with integrated online media) in soft-copies (via
Mlearning). Activity designs can be done from home and then submitted.
Marking using RUBRIC 2, see Appendix. Assignment 3
10% - Week 12: This requires students to submit a videoed lesson (e.g.
Teaching simple present tense) made by using Plug-in iSpring Suite on PAGE 3 OF 12
PowerPoint, Window Movie Maker, Bandicam or introduced professional
video makers. Individual submissions are on Mlearning.
Group projects 30% - Week 10: This midterm assignment is done by groups of 3-4 students.
Groups are required to brainstorm, plan and design a webpage/website that
teaches, after inductions of the course instructor about website design
conventions. Assessments are based on a specific set of criteria at 80% (see
Appendix: RUBRIC 3) together with Peer assessments at 20% (Appendix: RUBRIC 3). Final individual project
40% - Due Week 15: Individuals are required to create an
electronic quiz (testing mode) using the software iSpring Suite Quizmaker (or
an alternative Adobe Presenter) for 60 minutes of administration.
Submissions must include 02 files one raw quiz and one published .exe/.html quiz
handed in via Mlearning. Rubric for marking this work is at the Appendix: RUBRIC 4.
ALTERNATIVE: Students are required to design an elearning (mlearning)
course of 8-week contents. See Appendix.
