By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: - Say 4 color words. -
Practice color words in song. -
Improve listening and speaking skills.

- Kindness: help partners to complete learning tasks.
- Diligence: work hard to complete learning tasks.
- Honesty: tell the truth about feelings and emotions or play fair in games.

C. RESOURCES AND MATERIALS: Flashcards 5-8 D. TEACHING PROCEDURES:
I. WARM UP AND REVIEW (8 mins)
- T says “Hello” to the whole class.
- T moves around, shakes their hands and says “Hello”. - Ss say Hello to teacher.
- Ss say Hello to the friends next to them as well as shake hands. - T plays song ( Hello track 01)
- Ss practice singing the song + Singing line by line
+ Singing along in chorus Guessing game:
- T shows students 5 pictures in black and white: an apple, a cloud, a lemon, rocks, bananas.
- Ss guess what color they are.
- T shows them the colored pictures: a red apple, a blue cloud, a green lemon, black rocks, yellow bananas.
II. PRESENTATION (5 mins) Lead in:
- T plays flashcards 5-8 on the board.
- T points to each picture and says the word.
- T points to the cards, students say the word.
III. PRACTICE (17 mins)
1. Listen, point and repeat (track 03) - Ss open their books.
- T plays track 3, listens and points.
- T plays again, students listen and point.
- T plays again, students listen and repeat. Board race Game:
- T shows the flashcards 1-8 on the board.
- T divides students into 4 groups. - Ss take turns 1 by 1.
- 1 student from each group stand up. - Ss choose 1 flashcard.
- Ss look at the flashcard and say aloud the answer.
2. Listen and point (track 04)
- T plays track 4, holds up teacher’s book and points.
- Ss listen to track 04 again and point.
- Ss listen again and say the words.
3. Listen and sing (track 05)
- T shows your book to your students, elicits as many information as teacher can about the picture.
- T plays track 05, students listen and point.
- Ss listen again and sing along.
4. Point and say. Stick. - T shows students how to do:
+ T points to each color and students say the words.
+ Ss point and repeat in chorus.
+ T says:” Let’s stick!”
+ Ss stick the sticker and say: “pink”
- Ss work in pairs to say and stick
- T goes around for help if necessary.
Below level: Ss draw an object they have with colors orange, pink, brown or purple and color it.
- Ss write the color word in that colored pen or crayon.
At level: Ss unscramble these anagrams words: pnik, oaerng, bnrwo, pplrue
- Ss write the color word in that colored pen or crayon.
Above level: Ss unscramble these anagrams words: pnik, oaerng, bnrwo, pplrue
- Ss think of 2 more colors and write down. 5. Workbook page 4
- Ss do exercises in workbook page 4.
- T goes around to help and encourage the students. IV. CONCLUSION (5 mins)
Sing and act out (track 05)
- T divides the class into 4 groups.
- T gives each group a flashcard: ROSY, TIM, BILLY, MISS JONES - T plays the chant.
- Ss listen and stand up when they hear their group’s name.

- T says a color, Ss point and repeat.
- T holds up favorite color and says: I like (pink).
- T draws a big heart and says again: I like (pink).
III. PRACTICE (17 mins)
1. Listen and repeat (track 06)
- T plays track 06, listens and points.
- T plays again, Ss listen and point.
- T plays again, Ss listen and repeat.
2. Listen and sing (track 07)
- T shows your book to your Ss, elicits as many information as T can about the picture.
- T plays the recording, Ss listen to.
- T plays the recording again, Ss sing along. 3. Ask and answer
- Ss look at the picture and speech bubbles.
- Two students demonstrate the question and answer.
- Ss work in pairs to exchange questions and answers.
- T moves around for help if necessary. 4. Look and say
- T points to the speech bubble, models the sentence.
- Ss work in pairs to make similar sentences using other pictures. Game match
- T writes color words on the board.
- T shows them a color and asks: What color is it?
- Ss answer and circle the correct words. Below level:
- T mouths the color words silently.
