5. Result
The final design for our website has been made according to the requirements provided
by Mr. James George and multiple points of feedback. We provided a website with
modern design with the goal of avoiding information overload and website navigability.
Our main features are:
Contact Us This feature is added to receive feedbacks and questions from
customers.
Jetpack This is used to create sign in page which provide security that prevent
hackers from taking data from customers.
Search This engine is used to help customers find what they need easier by
typing the products’ name.
These features are added in according to our client and ensure the website is user friendly.
Through using plugins in WordPress, the website can also be easily upgraded and
maintained in the future.
6. Change Management
Before the Baby Hut had a website, most of the stores uses their own software to manage
the hire and sale of baby equipment. Moreover, each store can only be able to access only
its own data but not others’. Now with the Baby Hut website, customers can access to
more data and the client and easily manage their rental and sale of baby equipment.
Requirements for handling the website:
Keep the WordPress software and all plugins up to date for optimal performance
Ensure the website data is backup regularly.
Ensure and check on the monthly subscriptions from customers.
3. Problem and project scope
3.1. Statement
The main problem for the Baby Hut is that it doesn’t have the website that help
advertising their provided services. Not having a website, it impacts a lot to both
customers and our clients. In fact, customers may travel a long distance to the store and
find what they don’t need which will leave a bad influence on the store.
Moreover, it is also quite inconvenient for buyer to call over our client to ask details
about the products. This process is time-consuming for both parties as there are too many
products and details. Hence, it is much easier for buyer and client to view the website to
understand the products that the client provides.
Furthermore, due to lack of security, many stores in Baby Hut could leak their
confidential customers’ data easily by staffs or hackers. Thus, building a website is very
essential since there are many plugins that can prevent hackers and employees to access
to customers’ information.
Hence, Baby Hut needs a website to improve the company’s advertising, customer
services, and security.
3.2. Project Scope
We created a website with WordPress based on the problems above and requirements
from our clients:
a) Content
o Information of buying and renting and details of products are displayed
properly on the website.
o Shop contacts for customers services.
b) Function
o Login and account registration for customers to store their products in cart.
o Subscription planning for long-term customers.
c) Interface
o Website is user-friendly and eye catching to customers.
o Website is well-organized and detailed.

7. Future recommendation
If the client wants to expand and upgrade website in the future, subscribing to the
business plan of WordPress would be a great choice since it has additional features
including ability to install plugins. Moreover, premium plan of WordPress gave more
access to additional CSS to further modify and customize the website.
4. Methodology
4.1 WordPress CMS
To create a user-friendly and easy to operate website, we decided to use WordPress,
which is a popular open-source content management system (short for CMS). WordPress
provides many plugins and themes from different companies to extend its functionality.
Hence, creating, updating, expanding website is an ease for any users especially for our
clients. Moreover, using WordPress does not require any coding knowledge in the
development of the website. Although members of the team have certain degree of
knowledge on JavaScript, CSS, and HTML to develop a website, it would be tough for
our clients who possess basic IT skills to maintain and upgrading it in the future. Thus,
WordPress provides website templates, plugins, widgets, and more features for the
developers so we can adapt them directly into the website without any knowledge of
coding.
4.2 Feature testing
While building the websites, we test our website to make sure it is workable and usable.
After some modifications or changes, we must run testing on that feature to ensure the all
the features are implemented and working properly. The testing is done by not only team
members but also our clients and other volunteers.
