You told me in your last letter that you sometimes stay with your cousins in the summer. What
kind of place do they live in? Can you tell me about it? Dear Tom( ĐỀ 8)
Thank you for your letter! Yes, I do spend some of my summers with my cousins, and I
always look forward to it. They live in a charming little town by the coast. The place is
quite picturesque with its sandy beaches, quaint shops, and friendly locals.
Their house is just a short walk from the beach, so we often spend our days swimming,
building sandcastles, and enjoying the sun. In the evenings, we sometimes have barbecues
in their backyard or take a stroll along the shore to watch the sunset. It’s a very relaxing
and beautiful place, perfect for a summer getaway.
I hope you get to visit a place like this someday! Best wishes, Tom Dear Hoa,
I’m glad to receive your letter. Yes, I do sometimes stay with my cousins during the
summer. They live in a charming house in the countryside- where everything feels peaceful.
Their home is surounded by fields and a small forest. There is also a stream nearby where
we sometimes go to cool off on hot days.
The house itself is cozy and rustic. My favorites spot is the back porch- where we can sit
and watch the sunset over the hills while having long conversations. At night, you can see a
sky full of stars, something you don’t get in the city. We spend our days cooking together
and sometimes just lounging around with a good book. It’s the perfect place connect with
nature. I hope one day you will come here and stay with me here.
I look forward to hearing from you Best wishes, Duyen

Write a letter in about 100 words to answer your penfriend’s question. Dear Selena,
Thanks for your letter! I live in a bustling city called Ha Noi. It’s always lively with lots of people,
traffic, and activities. The food here is amazing, and there’s always something new to explore.
However, it can get quite noisy and crowded.
If I could move, I’d love to live in Da Lat. It’s a peaceful town with beautiful scenery, cool weather,
and a relaxed atmosphere. I think I would have chance to be nearer to the nature. It would be a
nice change from the busy city life.
Hope that we have chance to meet each other there.
I look forward to hearing from you soon! Best, Chau Giang

In your last letter, you gave me your new address. Please write and tell me what your new
home is like. Is it in a similar place? What do you like best about it?
Write a letter in about 100 words to tell your friend about your new home. Hi Sophia,
Thank you for asking about my new home. I love this new place! My new house in Long Bien district is
completely different from the small apartment in the city center before. Here, the air is much cleaner
and I can enjoy the feeling of peace every morning when I wake up. My house has six-room: living room,
kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The house has a small garden, I usually spend time taking care of
the trees and playing with my pet.
I like the best about my new home is probably the balcony, where I can relax after a long day study in my
school. I usually get up early to exercise and have breakfast on the balcony. Life here is really comfortable
and pleasant. I hope you have the opportunity to visit my home! See yah! Your besties Hue Linh
