1. Describe an invention that you think is useful to humans. You should say: • What it was; • When it was invented;
• And explain why it is useful to humans.
One notable invention is the smartphone, introduced in the early 2000s. Its
compact design and multifunctionality have revolutionized communication,
providing instant access to information, social connections, and various utilities.
The smartphone's versatility enhances efficiency, convenience, and connectivity in
daily life, making it a highly useful tool for humans.
2. Imagine you are planning to take a space holiday on Mars. Talk about it. You should say:
1. When and with whom you are going; 2. What
personal possessions you are going to take;
3. And how you feel about this trip.
I'm scheduled for a space holiday to Mars in the next decade, joining a diverse group
of fellow space enthusiasts on this groundbreaking journey. Packed for the
adventure, I'll bring essentials like a specially designed spacesuit, a tablet loaded
with favorite books and music, and a camera to capture Martian landscapes. The
anticipation for this trip is a mix of excitement and wonder. The idea of exploring
the unknown and being part of a historic mission is both exhilarating and humbling.
It's a unique opportunity to witness the red planet up close and contribute to the
broader human quest for space exploration.

The person I have in mind is my grandfather, who retired from his job as a civil
engineer at the age of 65.Since his retirement, he has been spending most of his
time reading books, watching TV, and taking care of his garden. He is an avid
reader and enjoys reading books on history, philosophy, and science. He also likes
to watch documentaries and news programs on TV. In his garden, he grows a
variety of fruits and vegetables, which he shares with his neighbors. After retiring,
my grandfather's life has changed in many ways. He now has more free time to
pursue his interests and hobbies. He has also become more involved in his
community and participates in various social activities. However, he sometimes
misses the routine of going to work and interacting with his colleagues. He also
feels that he has lost some of his sense of purpose and identity since retiring.
Despite these challenges, he remains optimistic and continues to enjoy his retirement.
