To study the fundamentals of international transportation and insurance. To understand the
basis knowledge of sea chartering and air chartering as well as the features, functions, and
different types of transport documents. To be capable of carrying out the procedures of
forwarding, chartering by sea and by air, buying and selling insurance, and submitting claims
when damages incurred to the goods. 3. Objectives: 2
The module aims to prepare students with the transportation and insurance knowledge and
skills necessary for implementing the forwarding procedures at seaports and airports. In
addition, they can calculate freight costs and transform goods dimensions into weights for air
shipments. They also understand the claim procedures and documents required when damages
incurred during sea and air transportation. They can differentiate the differences between the
cargo insurance clauses (A, B, C). Finally, students can develop collaboration skills in group
work, a positive and proactive attitude, self-learning skills to meet their future job
requirements more effectively.

5. Method of Instruction: 
Students must focus on self-study, prepare lessons, read the documents, research reference materials 
