3. Procedures
A. Warm up (5 minutes)
Choose one off the two options below to help students recall what they have learned in the previous
lesson.
a. Objectives: Students can get the right number/fill in the missing letters.
b. Content: Getting the right number/Filling in the missing letters.
c. Expected outcomes and assessment:
- Task completed with excellence: Students can get the right number /fill in the missing letters correctly
and quickly.
- Task completed: Students can get the right number /fill in the missing letters correctly.
- Task uncompleted: Students can get the right number /fill in the missing letters but with some
difficulties.

Option 1: “Give me” game
- Have cards with numbers from 11 to 15 on the back. Elicit
the different flashcards you have. Then place all the
flashcards around the classroom.
- Divide the class into groups of five.
- Give the students one minute to find the cards. Each group
has to find five different cards. When time is up, the teacher
says "Give me number (twelve)". The student having the
card number 12 should hold up and say the number.
- Follow T’s instructions.
- Work in groups of 5.
- Join the game, try to say the right
number.

Option 2: "Guess the word" game
- Divide the class into four teams.
- Write a word on the board with several or all letters
missing. E.g., _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (fifteen)
- Have each team take turns calling out a letter.
- Add the missing letters to the word if correctly guessed.
- Give that team one point if it’s a correct guess.
- Continue until the students guess the word correctly.
- The team that gets the most points wins.

Have students sing and draw shapes in the air.

- Try to guess the letters to get the

writes down the words. Swap the roles.
Once finished, they compare the answers.

- Give the first team to write the word/sentence correctly

Option 2: “Ball Circle” game
- Divide the class into groups of five. Each group sits in a
circle. Give each group a ball.
- Prepare some pictures then give to each group.
- Have one student point at the picture and asks “How many
______ are there?”. Then, this student throws the ball to
another student who has to answer. Continue until every
student has had a turn.
