3. Procedures
A. Warm up (5 minutes)
Choose one of the two following activities.
a. Objectives: Students can join in the game.
b. Content: Joining in the game and practicing the letters and words.
c. Expected outcomes and assessment:
- Task completed with excellence: Students can join in the game to practice the letters and words
correctly and fluently.
- Task completed: Students can join in the game and practice the letters and words correctly.

- Divide the class into groups of five.
- Have one student in each group says "I spy with my little
eye, something beginning with letter (n)”. The rest try to
guess the word (e.g., "nut"). Continue with other students in
each group.
- Have teams take turns. The team that gets three spaces in a
horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line wins the game.
- Listen to the song and play the
game, trying to guess the word.
- Ask and answer each time the
music stops.
Option 2: "Touch" game
- Divide the class into four teams.
- Have one student from each team stand a distance from the
board.
- Stick some flashcards on the board.
- Follow and do as guided.
- Listen and answer the question.

- Then the teacher says a letter or a word. (E.g., Please touch
letter “N” three times!)
- Have the students race to the board, touch that flashcard,
and say the correct word. The first student to touch the
flashcard and say the word gets a point for their team.
