3. Procedures
A. Warm up (5 minutes)
Game about the vocab students have learned in the previous lesson.
a. Objectives: Students can recall the vocab students have learned.
b. Content: Recalling the vocab students have learned, e.g., nut, nose, orange, octopus.
c. Expected outcomes and assessment:
- Task completed with excellence: Students can recall the vocab correctly.
- Task completed: Students can recall the vocab but with minor spelling mistakes.
- Task uncompleted: Students can recall the vocab but with some difficulties.

Option 1: "Pictionary" game
- Divide the class into teams.
- Have a student from each team stand at the board with a
marker, a piece of chalk and tell them something to draw,
e.g., "octopus"
- Have teams try to guess what the student from their team is

- Repeat with different students. The team that gets the most
points wins.
- Follow and do as guided.
- Try to draw and guess what the

Option 2: “Musical Flashcards” game
- Divide the class into four teams.
- Each team stands in a line.
- The first student in each line comes to the front.
- Follow and do as guided.

- When the music stops, teacher says a letter or a word (E.g.,
“queen”) and the students must race to pick up that card.
- The first student who picks up the flashcard and say

- Join the game, race to pick up the
flashcard and say the word.

- Have students look at the flashcards for the count of ten.

- Have students close their eyes and turn their backs so they
can't see what you are doing.
- Take a flashcard or a picture and hide it somewhere in the
classroom (behind a curtain, on a chair, under a book, etc.).
Shout "Go!" and have students race around the classroom
looking for that flashcard or picture. The student that finds it
yells it out and wins a point.
