1. Objectives
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to gain the following:

3. Procedures
A. Warm up (5 minutes)
Choose one of the two activities to do warm-up.
a. Objectives: Students can practice the structure they’ve learned.
b. Content: Practicing the structure they’ve learned.
c. Expected outcomes and assessment:
- Task completed with excellence: Students can practice the structure they’ve learned correctly and
beautifully.
- Task completed: Students can practice the structure they’ve learned correctly.
- Task uncompleted: Students can practice the structure they’ve learned but with some difficulties.

Option 1: "Lucky number" game
- Divide the class into four teams.
- Have each team stand in a line.
- Prepare some cards with points on their backs from 1 to 20
and put them in a box.
- Have each student pick a card from the box and talk about
the content of it, e.g., “There are seventeen triangles!” then
get corresponding points for his/her team.
- Continue with the other students. The team that gets the
most points win.
- Follow and do as guided.

- Divide the class into the groups of five.

- Have students continue the game as the same way.

a. Objectives: Students will be able to listen, point, and repeat vocab about animals.
b. Contents: Listening, pointing, and repeating vocab about animals.
c. Expected outcomes and assessment
- Task completed with excellence: Students can listen, point, and repeat vocab about animals
correctly.
- Task completed: Students can listen, point, and repeat vocab about animals.
- Task uncompleted: Students have difficulty in listening, repeating, and repeating vocab about
animals.

- Use some pictures to introduce the animals (duck, goat, pig,
cow).
- Have students listen to each new word.
- Arrange the flashcards on the board, play audio, and point to

their books.
- Play audio again and have students listen to each new word and
repeat all together and individually. Correct student’s
pronunciation if necessary.
- Have students work in pairs, one of them points to the picture
in the book and the other says the word.
Option 1: "Word Tennis" game
- Have one student come to the front and play with you.
- Say a word from the lesson or unit, and pretend to hit a ball to
the student. Have the student respond with another word and hit
it back to you. Continue until someone repeats a word or can't
go.
- Divide the class into pairs and have them play with each other.
- Have some pairs demonstrate the activity in front of the class.
Option 2: "Guessing" game
- Arrange the flashcards on the board and write a number under
each card.
- Have students look at the flashcards for the count of ten. Turn
the flashcards over to face the board when the students are not
looking.
- Call out a number and have students take turns to guess the
face-down card. Turn the card around after each guess.
- Give the first team to pick the correct animal one point. The
team that gets the most points wins.
