Fill in the missing letters
a. Objectives: Students can fill in the missing letters.

- Task completed: Students can fill in the missing letters correctly.
- Task uncompleted: Students can fill in the missing letters but with some difficulties.

- Divide the class into four teams.
- Place flashcards/pictures on the classroom floor.
- Have students from each team come up the front.
- Play some music and have the students walk around the
flashcards.
- Stop the music and say a word. (E.g., a goat)
- Have the students pick up the correct flashcard.
- Give the first team to pick a correct flashcard one point.
The team that gets the most points wins.
- Team work: Try to pick up the
correct flashcard with the word
shouted.
Option 2: "Hot seat" game
Divide the class into four teams.
- Follow T’s instructions.

Have a student from each team sit on the chair facing the
classroom with the board behind them.

Have the other students describe the animal without
saying the name of it.
Give the first team to guess the word correctly one point.

Prepares some cards/pictures and sticks them on the

When the teacher says “Go”, each pair runs to the
board. One student throws a ball to the card/picture then
asks his/her partner “What’s that?” and the other student
answers. Swap roles and continue.
If they answer correctly, they will get those
cards/pictures.
Continue with the other pairs.
The team that gets the most cards/pictures wins.
