7. What do you think about traffic congestion in Viet Nam?
I think that's bad, very bad, and a shame for Vietnam. I want harsher rules
and infrastructure improved quickly. Most importantly, I think the government
should spend more money to build a proper transport system. And
campaigns and propaganda about traffic also need to be spread so that
people are more aware and change their behaviour.
What are the main causes of congestion?
1. Stuck cars on the roadway due to a lack of mass transit options.
2. Road obstacles such as construction work, lane closure, an accident or double
parking that hinder the traffic flow and cause the blockage.
3. Broken traffic signals due to malfunctioning computers
8. What should we do to solve the problem of traffic congestion?
Optimise traffic-light management
Use CCTV to monitor road conditions
Enforce existing road traffic laws Improve perceptions of buses
Extend residents’ parking zones Charge for workplace parking Improve cycling infrastructure Improve bus services
Develop and refine park-and-ride Use Inbound Flow Control
Rationalise distribution and deliveries Existing rail network Light rail
Strategic Road Network resilience Road pricing
9.How is the traffic in your country? Is it good or bad?
I live in Vietnam, and there are a lot of traffic problems in big cities in my country.
Firstly, there are too many people using the roads, especially in the rush hour
when people run out to work and school or get home from those places.
Secondly, there are too many vehicles on the road which leads to traffic jams.
Another problem is that many roads are narrow and bumpy.
Thirtly, there are traffic accidents every day so a lot of people lose their lives or are injured.
So in order to travel on the roads safely, I think we should obey the traffic rules
and traffic signs as well. Moreover, carefulness is very necessary.
10, How do traffic problems affect you? What do you do to deal with traffic problems ?
Traffic problems affect me rather very negatively as I have to get ready to go to
work or anywhere else well in advance, thus wasting a lot of extra time on the
road. Then, of course, spending too much time on the road makes me feel way
more tired than I am supposed to be. I’ll improve perceptions of traffic, and
enforce existing road traffic laws, which are things I do to deal with traffic problems.
11. What could be done to decrease the number of traffic accidents?
To decrease the number of accidents. One is developing the right attitude
about driving. Two is always wearing your safety belt or helmet. Three is
keeping it slow and safe, for starters. Four is cell phones are for emergency
use only on the road. That are some ways to do it.
12. What is your favorite make of car? Why?
I would choose Dodge Charger because it is simply the most wonderful car alive.
You look fine driving it yourself, it's really cool to drive, and it feels even better when you're out of gear.
13.Is it fair to limit the use of cars?
Why not? And ultimately, it is high time to curtail or limit human movement
activities that are unnecessary as they will help to reduce pollution.
