ABSTRACT:
According to my research, at present, countries with beauty industry are constantly and
continuously developing. I have a real interest and look forward to having the opportunity to
challenge myself because I know that this industry also requires many skills that would boost me
in the future career. Even though the 7-week internship at Crystal Star Entertainment was not
long enough, I can still understand how a talent training and management company works, how
to hold competitions, how to promote campaigns and more specifically, I see myself develop in
many fields. Moreover, after this internship, I have had many opportunities and relationships that
have helped me a lot in my career and have prepared me mentally and physically to face
challenges in the future.
As a junior of Hoa Sen University, I was given such a great opportunity, I had many goals and
objectives that were very well defined. I've always made an effort to finish jobs completely, look
for opportunities to learn, and have a respectful attitude in the workplace. Also, I developed
strong ties with coworkers and clients throughout this time, which helped me to extend my
network and my knowledge.
I had the chance to see various differences between the actual working environment and theories
lectured in school. I obtained professional communication and job skills training from the firm,
which allowed me to learn a lot about the entertainment industry.
After my own efforts and disciplines, the results I got from the internship exceeded my
expectations by a wide margin. I'm content that I can continue to achieve my career's huge goals
and dreams due to the resources I have learned.

INTRODUCTION
The mission of education in university is not only giving the knowledge from the theories to
students but also providing them the chances to practice in the real working environment. Hoa
Sen University has arranged the studying planner for students including two internship terms.
They are believed as opportunities for us to apply our knowledge, develop our skills and observe
new experience from the real world.
Athough this is not the first time I've worked for a firm; I always feel anxious and eager to
experience something new when I have the chance to do so. My professional objectives are
always well-defined, and I’ve working very hard to meet them. In my role as a trainee at Crystal
Star Entertainment, I made the following goals for myself:
Firstly, I would like to gain in-depth knowledge of the entertainment industry and understand
why it is such a strong industry in the market.
Second, I want to to communicate with more boldness and confidence and develop a
professional attitude in my career.
Thirdly, I want to be learned so that I can afford to plan entire marketing campaigns with
confidence. I also want to understand how to develop a promotional campaign and have in-depth
knowledge about the advertising field.
Finally, because I am aware of the advantages that this entertainment industry offers, I want to
develop my relationships and connections in order to bring myself more chances in the future.
In order to accomplish the objectives I have set for myself, I have chosen a disciplined mindset
and work hard to ensure that I will deliver excellent.I constantly maintain a sense of
responsibility for the tasks given to me and put my best in it. And perhaps most significantly, I
always maintain a positive attitude toward learning in order to gain insights and interesting
experiences. Throughout and after my time here, I've picked up a lot of worthwhile lessons that I
may use in other positions, whether they're in the entertainment industry or not.

1.2. Vision and Mission
Crystal Star Entertainment Co., LTD was founded in 2021 by Mr. Vu Quang Thai with a focus
on promoting and developing artists, celebrities, and supermodels. With the mission of
increasing the value of Vietnamese talent and models reaching out to the world. Crystal Star
Entertainment desires to provide an environment for training and managing artists, beauty
queens, and models professionally with international standards.
With the experienced management team, Crystal Star Entertainment will be a venue to instruct
new talents, convincing to become shiny stars in the beauty industry both nationally and
internationally especially in Vietnam's entertainment industry. Company has supported beauty
queens in gaining fame both locally and globally such as Miss Nam Em, Miss Khanh Van,
Miss H'Hen Nie etc. The company contributed in the preparation of the World Miss Tourism
Ambassador 2018, Miss Tourism Vietnam 2020 as well as hosting a national-costume fashion
show at the largest and oldest global event Dubai Expo 2022, which only taking place every
five year.

CEO - Chief Executive Office:r are in responsible for managing every departments of company
operations. Including promoting profitability, controlling productivity and outcomes.
Moreover, they manage price policies, interact and negotiate with clients.
Event Department: responsibility for offering thorough planning and event management, as
well as organizing and arranging the company's events.
Marketing Department: Accountable for public relations, social media management, market
research, creative process, writing and visual media and advertising.

PART 2: COMPANY PRESENT STATE
2.1. Micro Environment of the company
2.1.1. Suppliers :
Crystal Star Company is currently accompanying The City Angles Club, one of the places to
coach models and beauty with catwalk activities, and skills training. Each training session at
City Angles Club will include complete coaching catwalk, emotional mastery, professional
posing, and application of international competition requirements for Crystal Star's customers.
The company Crystal Star additionally combines design software from Adobe with specialist
software in the field of image editing to give consumers the finest images and professional
branding.
2.1.2. Customers:
CSE's customers are diverse in age. In the range of 18 to 27 years old, they will belong to the
Miss customer, and customers 27 years old and older will be classified as Mrs. 70% of
customers are women, who make up the majority.
Along with the models and other talent that CSE attracts, the company is noticed because it
hosted numerous high value national and international competitions, fashion shows for such as
Miss Tourism Vietnam, Expo Dubai, Ly Qui Khanh's Fashion Show,...

2.1.3. Competitors:
Around 20 large and small beauty pageants were held in 2022, which means that it is also
considered as a sign of the growth of talents, model training institutions, and entertainment
businesses. Although the contests have different sizes and messages, in the Vietnamese market,
companies always have the same goal of being able to train and direct beauties who will prove
their talents to countries around the world.
Sen Vang and Unicorp are two competitors considered as strong for CSE.

2.2. 4Ps analysis of Crystal Star Entertainment:
2.2.1. Product:
Products of Crystal Star Entertainment are not only the physical products, they would be more of
virtual products including:
Planning, consulting, and branding for an individual.
Beauty competitions, international and domestic talent competitions.
Training programs for performance, communication, modeling, and other skills
Videos of fashion shows, music videos, and other entertainment contents
Fashion runways for designers' collections.
Facebook Page, Youtube Channel, TikTok Channel with over 200,000 interactions and views.

2.2.2. Place:
The company are now working and investing mainly at the big cities in Vietnam and still having
plan to innovate to occur internationally. Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are now the two key city
where CSE has the offices at.

The cost will be determined by the size of each project or event.
For example: A press conference event with 300 attendees will be financially balanced to
determine the ultimate cost in the price range of 300 – 500 milion VND, which will include all
preparation costs for the event's crew, equipment, staging, celebrities,…
2.2.4. Promotion:
CSE has various way of promotion that including:
Promote projects and competitions through social media platforms.
Sponsorships.
Public relations
Advertise via billboards, banners, posters, etc.
2.3. SWOT analysis:
2.3.1. Strengths:
Crystal Star Entertainment have some advantages, considered as: A management group with
great experience in managing and arranging international events. Besides, CSE has got long
record of success in various domestic and international beauty competitions. It is also known
by a huge clients for well-known trainer team that have got many years in the modeling
training. Good relationships with international business partner and reputation in the Vietnam’s
entertainment industry is the one of the most powerful points that could lead CSE into global
success.
2.3.2. Weaknesses:
Because there are many competitors with similar business models in the entertainment market so
CSE would get many difficulties while positioning itself in the industry. Moreover, the shortage
of workforce led CSE into getting some shortcomings.
2.3.3. Opportunities:
Crystal Star now having strong relationships with successful national and international partners
that could support in many aspects: Finance, Resources, etc. Furthermore, There are numerous
talents, models, and beauty queens who require training professionally.

2.3.4. Threatens:
The company's long-term existence in the entertainment market because there are now quite a
few competitors as well as many beauty contests that are held continuously every year. Workload
and efficiency will suffer from the shortage of employees.
PART 3: THE STUDENTS’ INTERNSHIP POSITION
3.1. Job Description
My supervisor, Mr. Vu Thai, the company director, supervised all of my responsibilities and
judged them. He also kept track of my internship journal by offering suggestions and guiding
me at work.
About the marketing team I worked in, it is one of the essential departments of the company as
well to others. The advertising department would control social media platforms, digital
activities, campaigns, promotion, and research.
My tasks given by the time I was working:
- Manage and create contents on Social Media: Facebook, Instagram and TikTok
- Mange and post contents, news, projects on the website
- Organize an event: “ Press Conference with Mrs. International Global 2023”
- Social media branding for an celebrity – 2nd Runner Up Miss Tourism Vietnam 2022
- Work and manage to direct with Malaysian guests
3.2. Manage and create contents on Social Media
After my interview with my supervisor, Mr. Vu Thai, I shared my abilities. My first task was to
manage and create contents for the company's social media pages: Facebook, Instagram,
TikTok and Yotube.
I carefully planned out the content I would share each week, including photos, news, events,
etc. Moreover, I am solely responsible for managing and creating all of the posted contents. I

always made notes "Done" and keep track on the effectiveness and quality of each post once it
was published.

Achivements:
1000 - 3000 views per piece, which is a good audience, showed interest in my writing. Also,
even though a new account was recently made, TikTok videos were seen a pretty large amount
of views. For me, getting this many likes and engagements was a big achievement. In addition,
I received guidance and suggestions on how to produce engaging content that isn't too lengthy
or boring so that I can get knowledge of this field.
Advantages:

This task is not above my ability because I have always been interested in developing engaging
content, I have had the chance to go through many excellent articles, and I have a wide
vocabulary. Also, I ran social networking platforms like Instagram and TikTok, so selecting
and producing attractive photos and videos to attract viewers was also quite simple for me.
Disadvantages:
While being assigned this task, the difficult thing for me is time management. Sometimes there
are many articles that I have received inaccurate information, so I have to edit a few times,
causing time delay.
3.3. Organize an event “ Press Conference with Mrs. International Global 2023”
Before to the event, I was given the significant task of preparing the script for the MC to
deliver throughout the event and being connected with the list of famous guests expected to
attend. I had the task of keeping up with the MC throughout the entire evening. Manage and
handle the requirements related to each singer's and model's performance time. Because the
event is a significant one for the business, the task is both thrilling and demanding.
Creating the script for the MC to speak throughout the entire event demands a variety of skills,
including professional writing, and must follow to the proper timing and event details. I also
got to move around often at the event to support the guest lineup on time as well as make sure
the MCs got updated when they needed them.

Achivements:
The event was held successfully with the presence of more than 200 Vietnamese and
international guests. I had the chance to play a significant role on the event team and I gained a
lot of knowledge from the other members. Since that this is also my first attempt at creating a
script for a special event, the MC script was greatly approved as a major victory for me.
Advantages:
My supervisor carefully guided and supported me, and my own language knowledge also
helped me to complete the script successfully. I've previously organized events, therefore my
experience with it was helpful in this situation.
Disadvantages:
I made a few mistakes because it was my first time writing a script. Also, I didn't double-check
the informations during the event, which led to the MC mispronouncing some words and
confused the guests. After the incident, I made an effort to improve my flaws and practice
more.

The mission of education in university is not only giving the knowledge from the theories to
students but also providing them the chances to practice in the real working environment. Hoa
Sen University has arranged the studying planner for students including two internship terms.
They are believed as opportunities for us to apply our knowledge, develop our skills and observe
new experience from the real world.
Athough this is not the first time I've worked for a firm; I always feel anxious and eager to
experience something new when I have the chance to do so. My professional objectives are
always well-defined, and I’ve working very hard to meet them. In my role as a trainee at Crystal
Star Entertainment, I made the following goals for myself:
Firstly, I would like to gain in-depth knowledge of the entertainment industry and understand
why it is such a strong industry in the market.
Second, I want to to communicate with more boldness and confidence and develop a
professional attitude in my career.
Thirdly, I want to be learned so that I can afford to plan entire marketing campaigns with
confidence. I also want to understand how to develop a promotional campaign and have in-depth
knowledge about the advertising field.
Finally, because I am aware of the advantages that this entertainment industry offers, I want to
develop my relationships and connections in order to bring myself more chances in the future.
In order to accomplish the objectives I have set for myself, I have chosen a disciplined mindset
and work hard to ensure that I will deliver excellent.I constantly maintain a sense of
responsibility for the tasks given to me and put my best in it. And perhaps most significantly, I
always maintain a positive attitude toward learning in order to gain insights and interesting
experiences. Throughout and after my time here, I've picked up a lot of worthwhile lessons that I

Crystal Star Entertainment Co., LTD was founded in 2021 by Mr. Vu Quang Thai with a focus
on promoting and developing artists, celebrities, and supermodels. With the mission of
increasing the value of Vietnamese talent and models reaching out to the world. Crystal Star
Entertainment desires to provide an environment for training and managing artists, beauty
queens, and models professionally with international standards.
With the experienced management team, Crystal Star Entertainment will be a venue to instruct
new talents, convincing to become shiny stars in the beauty industry both nationally and
internationally especially in Vietnam's entertainment industry. Company has supported beauty
queens in gaining fame both locally and globally such as Miss Nam Em, Miss Khanh Van,
Miss H'Hen Nie etc. The company contributed in the preparation of the World Miss Tourism
Ambassador 2018, Miss Tourism Vietnam 2020 as well as hosting a national-costume fashion

CEO - Chief Executive Office:r are in responsible for managing every departments of company
operations. Including promoting profitability, controlling productivity and outcomes.
Moreover, they manage price policies, interact and negotiate with clients.
Event Department: responsibility for offering thorough planning and event management, as
well as organizing and arranging the company's events.
Marketing Department: Accountable for public relations, social media management, market
research, creative process, writing and visual media and advertising. 12
Financial Manager: in charge of managing the business's finances, budget, and salary payments to employees.
Interns: In charge of tasks given by each department such as managing social media sites,
creating content, responding to consumer feedback, keeping track. PART 2: COMPANY PRESENT STATE
2.1. Micro Environment of the company 2.1.1. Suppliers :
Crystal Star Company is currently accompanying The City Angles Club, one of the places to
coach models and beauty with catwalk activities, and skills training. Each training session at
City Angles Club will include complete coaching catwalk, emotional mastery, professional
posing, and application of international competition requirements for Crystal Star's customers.
The company Crystal Star additionally combines design software from Adobe with specialist
software in the field of image editing to give consumers the finest images and professional branding. 2.1.2. Customers:
CSE's customers are diverse in age. In the range of 18 to 27 years old, they will belong to the
Miss customer, and customers 27 years old and older will be classified as Mrs. 70% of
customers are women, who make up the majority.
Along with the models and other talent that CSE attracts, the company is noticed because it
hosted numerous high value national and international competitions, fashion shows for such as
Miss Tourism Vietnam, Expo Dubai, Ly Qui Khanh's Fashion Show,... 13

Around 20 large and small beauty pageants were held in 2022, which means that it is also
considered as a sign of the growth of talents, model training institutions, and entertainment
businesses. Although the contests have different sizes and messages, in the Vietnamese market,
companies always have the same goal of being able to train and direct beauties who will prove
their talents to countries around the world.

Products of Crystal Star Entertainment are not only the physical products, they would be more of virtual products including:
Planning, consulting, and branding for an individual.

Videos of fashion shows, music videos, and other entertainment contents

The company are now working and investing mainly at the big cities in Vietnam and still having

For example: A press conference event with 300 attendees will be financially balanced to
determine the ultimate cost in the price range of 300 – 500 milion VND, which will include all

Advertise via billboards, banners, posters, etc. 2.3. SWOT analysis: 2.3.1. Strengths:
Crystal Star Entertainment have some advantages, considered as: A management group with
great experience in managing and arranging international events. Besides, CSE has got long
record of success in various domestic and international beauty competitions. It is also known
by a huge clients for well-known trainer team that have got many years in the modeling
training. Good relationships with international business partner and reputation in the Vietnam’s
entertainment industry is the one of the most powerful points that could lead CSE into global success. 2.3.2. Weaknesses:
Because there are many competitors with similar business models in the entertainment market so
CSE would get many difficulties while positioning itself in the industry. Moreover, the shortage
of workforce led CSE into getting some shortcomings. 2.3.3. Opportunities:
Crystal Star now having strong relationships with successful national and international partners
that could support in many aspects: Finance, Resources, etc. Furthermore, There are numerous
talents, models, and beauty queens who require training professionally. 16 2.3.4. Threatens:
The company's long-term existence in the entertainment market because there are now quite a
few competitors as well as many beauty contests that are held continuously every year. Workload
and efficiency will suffer from the shortage of employees.
PART 3: THE STUDENTS’ INTERNSHIP POSITION 3.1. Job Description
My supervisor, Mr. Vu Thai, the company director, supervised all of my responsibilities and
judged them. He also kept track of my internship journal by offering suggestions and guiding me at work.
About the marketing team I worked in, it is one of the essential departments of the company as
well to others. The advertising department would control social media platforms, digital
activities, campaigns, promotion, and research.
My tasks given by the time I was working: -

Organize an event: “ Press Conference with Mrs. International Global 2023” -

3.2. Manage and create contents on Social Media
After my interview with my supervisor, Mr. Vu Thai, I shared my abilities. My first task was to
manage and create contents for the company's social media pages: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Yotube.
I carefully planned out the content I would share each week, including photos, news, events,
etc. Moreover, I am solely responsible for managing and creating all of the posted contents. I 17
always made notes "Done" and keep track on the effectiveness and quality of each post once it was published. Picture 7 Content Planner

1000 - 3000 views per piece, which is a good audience, showed interest in my writing. Also,
even though a new account was recently made, TikTok videos were seen a pretty large amount
of views. For me, getting this many likes and engagements was a big achievement. In addition,
I received guidance and suggestions on how to produce engaging content that isn't too lengthy
or boring so that I can get knowledge of this field. Advantages: 18
This task is not above my ability because I have always been interested in developing engaging
content, I have had the chance to go through many excellent articles, and I have a wide
vocabulary. Also, I ran social networking platforms like Instagram and TikTok, so selecting
and producing attractive photos and videos to attract viewers was also quite simple for me. Disadvantages:
While being assigned this task, the difficult thing for me is time management. Sometimes there
are many articles that I have received inaccurate information, so I have to edit a few times, causing time delay.
3.3. Organize an event “ Press Conference with Mrs. International Global 2023”
Before to the event, I was given the significant task of preparing the script for the MC to
deliver throughout the event and being connected with the list of famous guests expected to
attend. I had the task of keeping up with the MC throughout the entire evening. Manage and
handle the requirements related to each singer's and model's performance time. Because the
event is a significant one for the business, the task is both thrilling and demanding.
Creating the script for the MC to speak throughout the entire event demands a variety of skills,
including professional writing, and must follow to the proper timing and event details. I also
got to move around often at the event to support the guest lineup on time as well as make sure

The event was held successfully with the presence of more than 200 Vietnamese and
international guests. I had the chance to play a significant role on the event team and I gained a
lot of knowledge from the other members. Since that this is also my first attempt at creating a
script for a special event, the MC script was greatly approved as a major victory for me. Advantages:
My supervisor carefully guided and supported me, and my own language knowledge also
helped me to complete the script successfully. I've previously organized events, therefore my
experience with it was helpful in this situation. Disadvantages:
I made a few mistakes because it was my first time writing a script. Also, I didn't double-check
the informations during the event, which led to the MC mispronouncing some words and
confused the guests. After the incident, I made an effort to improve my flaws and practice more.
3.4. Mange and post contents, news, projects on the website 20
