indicate the correct answer to each of the following question.

During the Second World War, some Russian women became well-known fighter pilots,
demonstrating incredible skill and bravery. One of them was Yekaterina Budanova, who
initially worked as a non-military pilot before joining the Soviet Army. At first, her officers
doubted her abilities, but she quickly proved them wrong with her remarkable flying skills.
Budanova became famous for her talent and courage in combat. Unfortunately, she died at the
age of 26 in an air battle against German planes. Before being shot down herself, she had already
successfully destroyed one enemy aircraft and damaged another.
Another legendary female fighter pilot was Lydia Litvyak. [I] Passionate about flying from a
young age, she joined a flying club and completed her first solo flight at just 15 years old.[II]
After graduating from a military flying school, she became a flight instructor. [III] When
Germany attacked the Soviet Union in 1941, Litvyak joined the Soviet Air Force and quickly
made a name for herself as an exceptional pilot. [IV] Like Budanova, Litvyak lost her life in
battle at the young age of 21.
Both women left a lasting legacy and are remembered as two of the world’s most famous female
fighter pilots. Their courage and contributions to aviation continue to inspire future generations of female pilots.
