This is originally a video to provide information so the attitude of the speaker
is not clearly expressed. However, I can see that the speaker always keeps a
very natural tone of voice, always emphasizes on the important points, this
helps listeners easily find keywords and capture the content of the video. In
addition, to be able to speak fluently, the speaker must clearly capture the
content of the video.

IMPROVED SKILLS
This listening has not only provided me with more information about the
Death Valley, but it also helped me to improve my skills. Firstly, my listening
and writing skills have improved significantly. Speakers speak very quickly
and often use complicated words and grammatical structures, which is why I
have improved my listening ability and my ability to take notes in the need to

understand them- The main idea and note down the key words. Secondly, the
video's information was well organized, which is very clear and easy to follow,
therefore, my organizing skills were improved. Through watching this video, I
was able to learn a lot and develop my skills. Think about how to make this
information relevant to my existing knowledge.
Overall: Listening, note-taking, critical thinking and organizing skills were
improved.
INFORMATION KNOWLEDGE
Before watching this video, I also had some knowledge about Death Valley.
The name “Death Valley” is derived from a series of traumatic events that
have happened in the past, such as:
In 1849, a group of people had strayed into the valley and lost their
way. They were hungry, burned by the sun and attacked by insects, like
snakes and scorpions. Suffering a lot of misery, some people buried
their bodies on the bottom of the cliff, some died of starvation and
snakebites, until January 1850, only one member of the delegation
escaped.

Another event is in 1941, an American investigation team lost their way
and no one survived.
Etc…
Because of the constant tragedy events happening here, it was named the
Death Valley. The reason for the tragic events that have occurred here is the
extreme weather conditions of the Death Valley. With an average daytime
temperature of about 49 degrees and an average rainfall of about 0-144mm.
Because of the harsh weather conditions like this, there are usually very few
living things here. As a result, this place was named the Death Valley.
Despite the harsh conditions of this place, this is still one of the very attractive
destinations for domestic and foreign tourists due to its unique conditions and
terrain. According to Travel and Leisure, Death Valley National Park
welcomes about 100,000 visitors each summer. This is an impressive figure
for a place with extremely harsh natural conditions like this.
Another special thing here is that everything on the surface of the Death
Valley always moves. Scientists have noted that stones move about 5-10m
each year, leaving a long trail on the ground.
With strange features like this, the Death Valley has always been a very
interesting and mysterious place on Earth.
