Feeling after one semester of online learning
As we all know, the outbreak of covid-19 has affected the lives of everyone including me. My last
semester, learning is very difficult since lessons taught by dedicated teachers in class have been replaced
by online lessons because they cannot go to school at this time. Despite conveniences, it has a lot of
disadvantages. We don't have to go to school in order to see each other's faces. When faced with a
difficult subject, our teachers still can teach with enthusiasm so we can reap the benefits of online
learning. As a result, online learning helps us in acquiring more information about technology, and many
countries are using this method to learn during the tough period of the pandemic. Even with all of the
advantages, there are also many disadvantages, such as some students losing the self-discipline to listen to
speakers while studying and then leaving to play games or surf Facebook, or even going out without
worrying about learning. Or, for those who have a bad internet connection, network errors prevent you
from joining the class, resulting in you not being able to absorb the knowledge that the teachers transmit.
The mentioned factors have had negative effects in online learning, leading to a decline in academic
achievement over time. Thereby, I recognize that everything has its benefits and drawbacks. However, if
you have a strong sense of self-study, you can keep your current results. You should consider yourself
fortunate to have been born in such good conditions; there are many people out there who cannot afford to
pay for education. Let's stay positive and attempt to get through this difficult covid phase.
