Lesson 7: LOOKING BACK + PROJECT
A. Aims: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge: - review the language they have learnt in this unit (vocabulary
of sports and games, past simple and imperatives)
- practice talking about the project “A traditional game” they have been asked to prepare.
2. Qualities: Students will be able to show their love and responsibility for sports
and games, and how to use past simple and imperatives.
3. Competences: Students will be able to cooperate, communicate, solve
problems, create, and enhance linguistic competence.
B. Teaching aids: Textbook, laptop, smart TV/ projector C. Procedure: * Warm up: Chain game
- T asks Ss to tell names of sports and games. - T leads in the new lesson. I. Vocabulary:
1. Find one odd word or phrase. (Task 1)
- T asks Ss to do the task individually.
- T checks the answers with the whole class. Key: 1. C 2. A 3. C 4. B 5.B
- T tells Ss that sports and games may go after one of three verbs: play, do, go 2. Brainstorm
- T divides the class into 2 groups.
- T lets students from these groups in turn write sports and games with 3 verbs go, do and play on the board.
- Decide the team having more correct answers is the winner. II. Grammar
1. Write verbs using past simple (Task 3)
- T allows Ss time to do the task individually
- T calls on some Ss to write the answer on the board
- T has the class comment and gives them the correct answers

1. Complete sentences using imperatives: Car racing game (Task 4)
- T divides the whole class into 2 teams: green and yellow
- T tells the rules: There are 6 numbers with 5 questions and 1 lucky flag. If you
choose the number with lucky flag you will move 1 step without answering and
have chance to choose another number. If not you have to answer the questions to move forward.
- T calls Ss from each group to give the answer Key:
1. Please stop making noise.
2. Go out to play with your friends. 3. Don't feed the animals. 4. Stand in line, boys! 5. Don't touch the dog.
3. Complete the passage (Task 5)
- T ask Ss to do this activity by themselves
- T calls some Ss to give the answers Key: 1. play 2. hear 3. favorite 4. sport 5. famous III. Project:
-T has Ss tick a traditional game that they prepared at home on the board.
- T asks Ss to make presentation about this traditional game *Wrap up:
- T consolidates the knowledge of the lesson. (words or phrases related to topic
sports and games, the past simple, imperatives) IV. Homework:
- Redo the exercises (page 24) in student book
- Finish exercises of unit 4 in your workbook.
- Prepare for “Unit 9: Getting started”

1. Knowledge – To introduce some cities of the world
-To help knowledge about some famous landmarks in big countries .

2. Competence: Communication, co-operation, self-study, creative
capacity, ability to use language talk about cities of the world.
3.Quanlities: - Responsibility,hard working , honesty, Positive about cities of the world. B. Teaching Aids:

I- Warm- up: Ss watch a video about some big cities and match: Picture: 1 Ha Noi P2 London P3 New York P4 Sydney P5 HCM city P6 Bangkok 1.Which cities ?Where?

3. Can you guess which city will you learn today?Where? II. Listen and read: 1. listen
- Ask sts to listen twice times to check your guessing

- Get them to match the words in A with their opposites in B

- Ss compare their answers in pairs before T checks their answers with the whole class
