A. AIMS: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to/ can:
1. Knowledge:
a. Vocabulary: recall the items related to the topic "Robots".
b. Skills: - know how to write a short passage about one kind of robots
- practice listening skill
2. Qualities: Students will be more responsible for and think for the better future.
3. Competences: linguistic competence, cooperative learning and
communicative competence, listening for specific information about robots,writing a
paragraph describing their favorite robot.
B. TEACHING AIDS
1. Teacher: Textbooks, computer accessed to the Internet, projector
2. Students: Textbooks
C. PROCEDURE:
I. Warm up: Listen and tick
Teacher lets students listen and tick the phrase that they hear (p. 65)
*Answer key:
look after sick people
understand what we say
build the very high
buildings
teach many subjects
II. Pre-writing : Tick T/ F
Ss Listen again and decide True or False:
Teacher plays the recording.
Teacher asks students to listen and tick the answers.
Teacher asks students to compare their answers with the predictions made
previously.
Teacher calls on some students to read aloud their answers and correct the
false one(s).
Teacher checks students' answers as a class.

- Ss have 7 minutes to write the paragraph.
- Ask one or two Ss to write their paragraph on the board
- Ss can start with : I would like to have a doctor robot. It can be called………..
IV. Post-writing: Exhibition
- Ss share their writings with their friends to correct.
- One or two Ss read and exhibit on the board.
- T and other students comment on the writing.
- Collect some Ss’ paragraphs to correct at home
V. Homework:
- Complete the writing.
- Do exercise in the WB.
- Be reeady for Looking back + Project.
