USING VERBAL DELIVERY SKILLS 1. Volume
The volume is too low, the audience cannot hear what you are saying, leading to
difficulty understanding. If you speak too loudly, it will make the audience
uncomfortable, making it difficult for them to absorb what you say. 2. Pitch 3. Speech
Whether a presentation is good or not depends not only on the content of that presentation. Most important of all is
the ability to convey that content to the listener ( in the most attractive way. This depends a lot on your speaking
speed. As a presenter, you need to maintain a moderate speaking speed, allowing listeners time to absorb the content.
Our average speaking speed is 100 - 120 words/minute, while our listening ability is 3 times higher (according to
wiki). That means if we only speak at an average speed, the audience will have time to think of critical arguments.
Speaking quickly will cause the listener's mind to get carried away and not be able to focus on that thing. Here are some tips for you:
Want to maintain the audience's attention and emphasize key ideas, encouraging the audience to agree with you.
Please increase your voice speed.
And Speak slowly when you want to emphasize level, concern, or ask for an opinion on a certain issue.
