Monotalk 1:
Today I show you how to replace the keyboard of Dell Inspiron laptop. We need to prepare a
flathead screwdriver. Remember to remove all the peripherals before the installation. Be carefull
because using razor blades may leave some scratches on the device.
To replace the keyboard,
1. Slide two battery release latches.
2. Lift to remove the battery.
3. Turn over and open the laptop.
4. Use flat head screwdriver to pry 5 keyboard latches.
5. Lift the keyboard up about 30 degrees.

Monotalk 2:
Today I show you how to replace the battery of the Iphone X. We need one screwdriver, one suction
cup, 1 iopener, 1 pair of tweezers, 1 plastic pry tool, and 1 spudger. Remember to turn off the
power. The replacement can cause the loss of water resistance. To replace the battery for iphone X,
do the following steps. Step 1, use the screwdrive to remove the screws at the bottom. Use Iopener
to soften the adhesive. Clip the suction cup onto the screen and use a pry tool to pry out the screen.
Lift up the screen 90 degrees on the right. Take off the small screws holding the battery cable and
the motherboard. Next, use the tweezers to lift up the metal bracket. Use a spudger to pry away the
battery connector and 3 display connectors. Use tweezers to remove the battery stripe. Remove the
old battery. Reverse the above steps to install the new battery.
UNIT 2
Operation of AC:
I will show you the operation of the air conditioner. Air conditioner is a very useful equipment in
any house for cooling in summer and warming the place in winter. It includes some main parts like
compressor to keep the refrigerant flowing through the system at specific rates of flow and at
specific pressures; condenser to change the temperature of refrigerant; drier to prevent contaminants
from flowing through system; metering device to maintain a specific rate of flow of refrigerant into
the low side of the system; evaporator to change from liquid to air, gas.
The operation of AC is very simple. Firstly, when you switch the air conditioner on, the thermostat
control sends 120 volts current to the compressor and the fan motor. Then, the compressor
compresses refrigerant in gas form into the condenser coils. Once the refrigerant has passed through
the condenser coils and the capillary tube, it travels to the evaporator coils located near the front of
the unit. Then, it expands into a gas which makes the coils cold. The gas flows through the coils to a
suction line attached to the compressor. The compressor converts the gas back into a liquid and the
cooling cycle continues.
Operation of CPU:
I will show you the operation of the CPU. CPU is Central Processing Unit and the most important
part in the computer system. Its main functions is processing, calculating and moving data. Some
basic components of the CPU include CU, LU, register and cache memory. Control unit direct the
whole computer system to process program’s instruction using electrical signals. LU or logic unit is
applied to perform calculation and logic operation in bitwise form. Register will keep the data of the
processor and cache, a very small part can store programs or instructions which are again and again
used by software for operation.
The operation of CPU is very simple. Firstly, when users request an instruction or a program, CPU
will draw it from RAM, then read, calculate and transport data. Data will travel through system bus
and they will be processed here. Thus, the action requested by the user is done and the user gets the
processed and calculated information.

Monotalk:
1. Today I want to review a smart phone which I have used. It is iPhone 6. It is manufactured
by Apple and costs about 5 million dong but when I bought it, it was 9,500,000 dong (nine
million five hundred thousand dong). It has a 4.7-inch screen with up to 128GB storage,
Touch ID fingerprint scanner and A8 processor. In my opinion, iPhone 6 has 4 pros and 2
cons. It has great 4.7-inch screen, good all-round camera, class-leading performance and
great new software features. However, it is expensive and has shorter battery life than other
phones. Now it is suitable for everyone/ students/ people with medium income.
2. Today I’m going to review my phone which is a Samsung J7 Prime. It is manufactured by
Samsung corporation. I bought it with 6,300,000 dong. It has a 5.5-inch screen, a Exynos
7870 processor, 8MP front camera, 13MP rear camera, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a
3,300mAh battery. It runs on Android 6.0. In my opinion, it has 4 pros and 2 cons. Samsung
J7 Prime has a premium design, a reasonable price, a powerful processor and a long battery
life. However, its camera is not as good as other phones and the storage is low. To sum up, it
is suitable for people with medium income.
3. Today I’m going to review my phone. It is iPhone 5S. It is manufactured by Apple. I bought
it with 1,200,000 dong/ $50. It has a 4-inch screen, 1 GB of RAM, a A7 processor, 16 GB of
storage, 1.2MP front camera and 8MP rear camera. It has 3 pros and 2 cons. It has sleek
design, good rear camera and the battery life is long enough for a day. However, the back
panel is easy to scratch and it doesn’t support iOS 11 and later. In conclusion, it is suitable
for students.

UNIT 7
A: Hello, welcome to the interview.
A: Hello. My name is ….
A: Can you tell me a little bit about your personalities?
B: Alright. People around me say that I am an enthusiastic person. I love participating in team work
activities and I love helping other members. Moreover, I’m also motivated. Actually, I’m from a
pour village and I always try my best to learn hard and work hard.
A: What skills do you have to work for my company?
B: I think I am good at working with multi-team, multi-sites and I have an ability to be the leader. I
am also able to present information in the top management, public groups and boards of directors.
Moreover, I can speak English fluently, which can be ensured by my certificate of 8.0 IELTS.
A: How about your qualifications? / What qualifications did you achieve that make you a fit to the
position?
B: 5 years ago, I graduated from HaUI and got Bachelor degree of Information Technology. After
that, I also took part in some technical courses and got the certificate of PMI-ACP. Moreover, I also
have deep knowledge on C/C++ programming in Linux.
A: Have you ever worked in this field? / Have you got any hands-on experience in this fields?
B: Right after graduating from HaUI, I started working as a developer in FSoft. I was in charge of
developing software with my teams. After 2 years, I was promoted to be the project manager and
lead the teams of more than 20 junior developers.
A. STUDY & QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Why did you choose to study electronics engineering?
Good: I've always been interested in robotics and futuristic vehicles such as hyperloop. I have got
interested in artificial intelligence. When my university time came up, I had 2 choices, either
Culture Science or Electronics Engineering. I considered both options and found out that Culture
Science would be abstract department for me. I figured out that I wanted to build something. I will
study some software languages and artificial intelligence but I don't think that it will be my main
profession.
2. What did you most enjoy about your time at university?
- Although I enjoyed the course overall, I struggled to get used to the level of independent study
required, but once I sought advice from senior lecturers, I improved my studying style immensely.
3. What was the most challenging aspect of your degree course?
One of my biggest challenges during my first year in college was the volume of work and exercises.
It was a big change from high school, and standards were also much higher! I tackled this in a few
different ways: I looked for opportunities to start or join study groups, met with my professors for
advice on where to focus my attention, and set up a structured schedule to make sure I was putting
in the required time studying.
B. PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS & SKILLS
1 .How do you believe you will be effective in sales engineer team at our company?
"I feel that I would be an effective sales engineer because I will make an impact on your sales
targets immediately. I bring a strong portfolio of business with me and will also work tirelessly to
earn new business."
2. What is your greatest strength?
My ability to work with many different people is my greatest strength. I enjoy learning from
everyone I meet. In my previous job, I had to develop strong relationships across departments, and
my ability to communicate with people allowed me to do this successfully. This job requires a lot of
teamwork in a large department, and I believe my communication and interpersonal skills will
allow me to complete this work successfully.
3. How do you handle failure?
I have always lived by the maxim that nobody is perfect, so I am relatively comfortable taking
responsibility for my shortcomings. My approach is to figure out what I could change to avoid
similar circumstances in the future.
I look to my professional colleagues in similar jobs and co-workers at my organization for
suggestions on how to improve. I am aggressive about taking workshops, training seminars, and
online tutorials to upgrade my skills."
4. How do you handle stress and pressure?
I actually work better under pressure, and I've found that I enjoy working in a challenging
environment.
Pressure is very important to me. Good pressure, such as having a lot of assignments to work on, or
an upcoming deadline, helps me to stay motivated and productive. Of course, there are times when
too much pressure can lead to stress; however, I am very skilled at balancing multiple projects and
meeting deadlines, which prevents me from feeling stressed often. For example, I once had three
large projects due in the same week, which was under a lot of pressure. However, because I created
a schedule that detailed how I would break down each project into small assignments, I completed
all three projects ahead of timeand avoided unnecessary stress.
5. Describe your working style?
My working style is extremely flexible – working on so many different projects requires me to be
adaptive. In general, I try to work on one project at a time, working as quickly but efficiently as
possible to achieve the highest results. All of my projects require collaboration, so I use the team
environment to check for errors. I am a perfectionist and a driven worker, and I think my clear
communication skills allow me to bring out the best in any team, in any project.
6. How would you describe yourself?
I'm a creative thinker. I like to explore alternative solutions to problems and have an open mind
about what will work best. My creativity has made me an effective team leader because I can
anticipate problems and innovate solutions.
7. What motivates you?
I’d like to be part of a team with a lot of bright people who have interesting ideas.
Learning new things has always been a great motivator for me. In every job I've had, I believe I've
always been able to learn something new, or discover a new way to look at a problem.
C. PAST JOBS AND EXPERIENCES:
1. What did you like and dislike about your previous job?
One of the reasons I am leaving is that I felt I was not challenged enough at the job. As a new
employee in the working world, the company offered me a great opportunity for a good entry level
position – one that I’ll always be grateful for. However, after being there for so many years, I felt I
was not able to reach my full potential because of a real lack of challenge. There really was no room
for advancement in the company. While I did enjoy working there and appreciate the skills I
developed while working for the company, I feel my can be better utilized elsewhere, where skill set
my capabilities are more recognized and there is the opportunity for career development.
2. Why are you looking for a new job?/ Why did you leave your last job?
I'm looking for a bigger challenge and to grow my career, but didn’t feel like I could give equal
attention both to my job search and to my full-time work responsibilities. It didn’t seem ethical to
slack off from my former job in order to conduct my job search, and so I left the company.
I am interested in a job with more responsibility, and I am really ready for a new challenge.
3. Tell us about a time when you have been innovative at work
At my previous job, my company had to increase production output because of higher customer
demand. I was in charge of a work group that needed to identify how to immediately increase
production without having to hire additional employees. Because of the need, I called a meeting
together with the work group, and we brainstormed solutions. Many in the group thought that the
only solution would be to hire additional employees to meet the demand, but I knew that the
company did not want to hire employees so that we would have to subsequently let go. After a
lengthy discussion, I shared my idea to create additional after-hour shifts that would allow workers
to work overtime. We could provide a free dinner so that workers could easily continue their shifts
without a long time disruption. The overtime and the free dinner would increase employee morale
and help us meet the demand of increased production. I shared this idea with the management
board, and they implemented it immediately. We were not only able to keep up with demand, but
these shifts also became a solution for the company to return to use this need any time for increased
production recurred.
D. JOBS APPLIED & COMPANY
1. What makes you want to work for Samsung?/ What attracted you to our company?
I would like to work with Samsung because their service is okay. And also their appliances are very
good and I can guarantee people to use any of their appliances.
I consider myself an innovator and I would love to work for an organization that’s leading the
future of the industry.”
2. Who would you consider to be our main competitors? (Samsung)
Well, as far as I know, Apple is now the biggest competitor. Sony, Panasonic and Sharp also seem to
be serious ones.
3. What part of this job is the most challenging?
I've previously used Microsoft word processing and presentation software exclusively, and haven't
used Google's online equivalents. I'll have to learn a whole new set of keyboard shortcuts! I'll
schedule some time to read blog posts that walk through the differences between the two types of
software, and also watch some online tutorials, so I can get up to speed.
4. Why should we hire you?
“Your company provides many services that I have had experience with, in a variety of capacities.
[Offer a few specific examples.] I believe that my familiarity with the industry would make me a
good fit for this position.”

B: Right after graduating from HaUI, I started working as a developer in FSoft. I was in charge of
developing software with my teams. After 2 years, I was promoted to be the project manager and

I will
study some software languages and artificial intelligence but I don't think that it will be my main profession.
I tackled this in a few
different ways: I looked for opportunities to start or join study groups, met with my professors for
advice on where to focus my attention, and set up a structured schedule to make sure I was putting in the required time studying.
B. PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS & SKILLS
1 .How do you believe you will be effective in sales engineer team at our company?
"I feel that I would be an effective sales engineer because I will make an impact on your sales
targets immediately. I bring a strong portfolio of business with me and will also work tirelessly to earn new business."
I actually work better under pressure, and I've found that I enjoy working in a challenging environment.
While I did enjoy working there and appreciate the skills I
developed while working for the company, I feel myskill setcan be better utilized elsewhere, where
my capabilities are more recognized and there is the opportunity for career development.
We were not only able to keep up with demand, but
these shifts also became a solution for the company to return to use this need any time for increased production recurred.
D. JOBS APPLIED & COMP ANY
1. What makes you want to work for Samsung?/ What attracted you to our company?
I would like to work with Samsung because their service is okay. And also their appliances are very
good and I can guarantee people to use any of their appliances.
I consider myself an innovator and I would love to work for an organization that’s leading the future of the industry.”
2. Who would you consider to be our main competitors? (Samsung)
Well, as far as I know, Apple is now the biggest competitor. Sony, Panasonic and Sharp also seem to be serious ones.
[Offer a few specific examples.] I believe that my familiarity with the industry would make me a good fit for this position.”
