Well, maybe you know, DN is my hometown where the weather is quite hot and dry in the
summer, if I wouldn’t say that sweltering heat. By contrast, in the winter, the weather is better

I live in DN city which is in central Vietnam, the weather is very hot in the summer, it's about
30 to 40 C in the summer and the Winter is very cold, about 18 to 20 with a little bit of rain

Winter is my all-time favorite weather. I love the chill of winter that makes my mood quite good
and particularly, in this season, I can dress quite a lot of my fashionable winter clothes. I look so
good-looking, personal and plump when wearing hoodies and scarfs.
Well, I love the Winter since this type weather gives me a lot of chill where I can have a sense
of wearing fashionable clothes and yeah and do sports outside with friends. just last Winter I
hiked to the mountain with my classmates where we saw a bit of drizzle and warm inside the

Definitely, the weather has a significant influence on my tasks. I would like to say that I prefer to

I have to say yes. Since I’m a girl and my parents are up to their ears in work so I’m responsible
for doing domestic tasks like cooking, hanging the clothes or sweeping the floor. Just yesterday,
before my parents came back home from their company, I cleaned the floors and cooked meat
stewed with eggs for my dad and mom.
Yes I oftentimes do some errands around my house, such as sweeping the floor, caulking the
windows, washing the dishes also, I often give my mother a hand by helping her to prepare a
meal for the family

Not really, I didn’t do household chores until becoming a secondary student since my
grandmother was willing to do these jobs. However, in recent years, her health has worsened, so

Well, as I just mentioned above. I’d like to travel to mountainous areas or secluded regions in

went to Ha Giang, a province located in the southern of VN. It was awesome, I learned a lot of

I prefer travelling in a group to alone/ I’d like to travel in the company of friends or family
because we can support each other in several undesirable situations like losing the ways, getting
sick or even some problems related to procedure or visa when traveling abroad. Besides, the

Well, I’m really keen on either movies or English’s idioms and slangs, so I tend to combine these
interests by watching British and American films in my spare time, it would like to say that I

Why do some people become workaholics?
Becoming a workaholic is very prevalent among white-collar workers or office workers since

The last time I went on holiday was about 3 years ago… in 2018. My friends and I went to Da Lat
a city of thousand flowers located in the highland center in Vietnam for 3 days. We came
there to unwind and recharge our batteries after a tough studying year at university. We hanged
out at DL night market and enjoyed a lot of delicacies there like grilled sweet potatoes or hot
soya milk. Also, we picked fresh strawberries from a garden. They were awesome and intriguing.
I can’t wait to go back there!
When was a last time you watched a movie?
The last time I engaged in a film was 2 days ago… I would like to say that on Saturday evening,
around 8 p.m. - the great time for relaxation after a tough studying week at university. I saw film
Titanic – a famous film about a tragic sinking of the ship Titanic on its first voyage. The film was
so moving, and I wept a lot at the end of the film.
Did you learn to swim when you were in school?
Yes, I did. I was very lucky because my elementary school gave me a chance to learn swimming. I
would like to say that when I was 6 years old, and I practiced swimming twice a week. I was
taught how to swim by my teacher – a semi- professional simmer who was very encouraging,
but really strict and fair taught me how to swim. And eventually, I could get to grips with the
sport just after 2 months.
Did you ever learn to ride a bike as a child?
Yes, I did. I was very lucky because my parents gave me a wonderful new bike on my 10 years

old birthday. I did not have a guider and I had to teach myself how to ride a bike. I learned by
trial and error. I found it remarkably hard at first, but with my patience and practice almost every
day. Eventually, I could ride a bike accomplished just after 3 weeks.
How has your hometown changed in recent years?
Well, I must say that my city Danang, has certainly changed compared to it in the 2000s. Date
back to 20 years ago, there weren’t any skyscrapers or high-rise buildings in my city. Also, the
streets were fairly small and narrow, and weren’t cars on them. But, nowadays, people can see a
host of high-rise houses and apartments over my city. The roads are wider and more modern
with many private vehicles like cars or motorbikes, even supercars. Moreover, fitness facilities
and recreational centers also have increasingly grown around my hometown. So, the city is more
intriguing and attractive.
How would you improve your house?
Well, I have to say that my one-floor family home is fairly cramped and old. No more private
spaces for all members of family. So, if I had a large amount of money, I would like to have one
more floor built with 3 bedrooms for my parents, younger sister and me. Erecting these rooms
would make us more comfortable and more private. Moreover, at the ground floor, I would
improve it by constructing a big garden with many fruit trees and colorful flowers for relaxation,
also a cozy living room and a warm kitchen for intriguing conversations among family members.
How important is art in life?
Well, art or works of art play a crucial role in modern life, and it’s particularly important for
children and creative people. Apparently, art supports individuals to shape esthetic valuations
and develop critical thinking as well as spark creation that contribute a society and a working
environment to magnificence and prosperity.
What do you want to do when you finish university?
What I really hope to do is study for a TESOL masters degree in the UK for 2 years. I would like to
achieve an ambition because living overseas will give me hands-on experience related to culture
and language as well as help me to be more independent. Furthermore, getting a masters in
teaching English will pave the way for an incredibly successful educational career for me down
the road. These things will give me a great sense of achievement and security. To turn my dream

It is in the rainy season, from September to December. The heavy rain happens nearly all day
during these months and gets on people’s nerves. I tend to get filthy when going out in the rainy days.
3. Can you remember any time when it rained particularly heavily in your hometown?
The first thing springs to mind is the torrential rain in 2008, when I was in grade 7. There was
heavy rain that lasted within 3 days, as a result, my city was drowned in water up to 1.45m in
height. People had to stay at home because they could not drive their vehicles for working or
travelling. It was extremely hazardous.
4. Does rain ever affect transportation in your hometown?
Absolutely, the roads are more likely to be congested and happen traffic accidents because
streets are slippery and pp tend to drive more quickly when it’s raining leading to several

1. What do you do on your holiday?
I frequently just spend most of the time cooking and cleaning my home if I have a short holiday, I
would like to say that 2 or 3 days. However, If the vacation is longer/ if it’s an extended holiday,
about a week, I’d like to travel to several mountainous areas in the southern of VN like Sapa
because I love the chilly cold and the delicacies there.
2. Do you think holidays are becoming more and more important?
Definitely, the modern life is quite hectic and people, including me, tend to be up to the ears in
work, so we need to get away from it all and unwind after a long time at work or study. I
frequently take a short trip, about 3 or 5 days in the summer to relax and recharge my battery
after a long period of time at study.
3. what kind of place do you want to travel to?
Well, as I just mentioned above. I’d like to travel to mountainous areas or secluded regions in
both VN and other countries around the world since I like to harmonize with the nature, enjoy
the fresh air and tranquil atmosphere that seemly hard to enjoy in my city. Just last summer, I
went to Ha Giang, a province located in the southern of VN. It was awesome, I learned a lot of captivating things from there.
4. Do you prefer travelling alone or in a group?
I prefer travelling in a group to alone/ I’d like to travel in the company of friends or family
because we can support each other in several undesirable situations like losing the ways, getting
sick or even some problems related to procedure or visa when traveling abroad. Besides, the more the merrier.
What do you do in your free time?
Well, I’m really keen on either movies or English’s idioms and slangs, so I tend to combine these
interests by watching British and American films in my spare time, it would like to say that I
spend watching films at least 1 or 2 hours in every evening before hitting the hay. It’s actually
captivating and useful as it helps me enhance language skills as well as unwind after a tough day at school.
How often do you socialize with friends?
Well, I used to hang out for dinner with my friends almost every evening when I was a freshman
and sophomore, but now, I’m a senior and my study workload is so heavy. I would like to say that
I’m actually up to my ears in study, so, once in a blue moon I have a chance to meet up with my
classmates, just 1 or twice a month. I hope I will have more free time after graduating to maintain social relationships. How often do you read book?
Well, I used to read history books when I was a freshman, I would like to say that I read them
about 1 or 2 hours a day, before hitting the hay. However, now, I’m a senior and I’m so up to the
ears in study, so once in a blue moon, I read them, just 1 or 2 twice a week. Reading the books
helped me know more about wars, movements and life of people in the past. Just last night, I
investigated The Cold War – a well-known war between the US and Soviet Union. It was captivating.
Is football popular in your country?
Absolutely, football is extremely prevalent in my own nation. I would like to say that a majority of
high school and university male students as well as men like to play football. As for watching the
game, males of all ages tend to enjoy the English empire league matches regularly. However, I
don’t think the sport is popular for women or girls in my nation.
What is the best time of a day for studying?
Well, I think, the perfect time for studying is in the very early morning, after dawn. Because It’s
the quietest time of a day that no one else around and everywhere is completely silent. Then,
I’m able to get into what I’m studying and not be distracted by friends or family.
Why do some people love cooking?
Cooking is a therapeutic and creative activity and I think people of all ages enjoy cooking.
Apparently, individuals can make unique and extraordinary dishes by themselves that enhance
their creation as well as maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Why do some people like gardening?
Gardening is a therapeutic and relaxing activity, especially, it is very popular for the older
generation or the middle-age. Apparently, planting trees or watering flowers helps people
unwind, maintain a healthy lifestyle as well as demands less energy. Individuals can garden
whilst making their own home more beautiful.
Why do some people become workaholics?
Becoming a workaholic is very prevalent among white-collar workers or office workers since
people need to earn money or even a lot of money to meet and satisfy their living-standard.
Apparently, if individuals want to get a bonus reward or a lucrative salary, they must get into
work and complete tasks as soon as possible.
Workaholics = work enthusiasts = work lover = people who stick to work
all the time = people who bury themselves at work=avid worker.
When was the last time you went on holiday?
The last time I went on holiday was about 3 years ago… in 2018. My friends and I went to Da Lat
– a city of thousand flowers – located in the highland center in Vietnam for 3 days. We came
there to unwind and recharge our batteries after a tough studying year at university. We hanged
out at DL night market and enjoyed a lot of delicacies there like grilled sweet potatoes or hot
soya milk. Also, we picked fresh strawberries from a garden. They were awesome and intriguing.
I can’t wait to go back there!
When was a last time you watched a movie?
The last time I engaged in a film was 2 days ago… I would like to say that on Saturday evening,
around 8 p.m. - the great time for relaxation after a tough studying week at university. I saw film
Titanic – a famous film about a tragic sinking of the ship Titanic on its first voyage. The film was
so moving, and I wept a lot at the end of the film.
Did you learn to swim when you were in school?
Yes, I did. I was very lucky because my elementary school gave me a chance to learn swimming. I
would like to say that when I was 6 years old, and I practiced swimming twice a week. I was
taught how to swim by my teacher – a semi- professional simmer – who was very encouraging,
but really strict and fair taught me how to swim. And eventually, I could get to grips with the sport just after 2 months.
Did you ever learn to ride a bike as a child?
Yes, I did. I was very lucky because my parents gave me a wonderful new bike on my 10 th years
old birthday. I did not have a guider and I had to teach myself how to ride a bike. I learned by
trial and error. I found it remarkably hard at first, but with my patience and practice almost every
day. Eventually, I could ride a bike accomplished just after 3 weeks.
How has your hometown changed in recent years?
Well, I must say that my city – Danang, has certainly changed compared to it in the 2000s. Date
back to 20 years ago, there weren’t any skyscrapers or high-rise buildings in my city. Also, the
streets were fairly small and narrow, and weren’t cars on them. But, nowadays, people can see a
host of high-rise houses and apartments over my city. The roads are wider and more modern
with many private vehicles like cars or motorbikes, even supercars. Moreover, fitness facilities
and recreational centers also have increasingly grown around my hometown. So, the city is more intriguing and attractive.
How would you improve your house?
Well, I have to say that my one-floor family home is fairly cramped and old. No more private
spaces for all members of family. So, if I had a large amount of money, I would like to have one
more floor built with 3 bedrooms for my parents, younger sister and me. Erecting these rooms
would make us more comfortable and more private. Moreover, at the ground floor, I would
improve it by constructing a big garden with many fruit trees and colorful flowers for relaxation,
also a cozy living room and a warm kitchen for intriguing conversations among family members.
How important is art in life?
Well, art or works of art play a crucial role in modern life, and it’s particularly important for
children and creative people. Apparently, art supports individuals to shape esthetic valuations
and develop critical thinking as well as spark creation that contribute a society and a working
environment to magnificence and prosperity.
What do you want to do when you finish university?
What I really hope to do is study for a TESOL master’s degree in the UK for 2 years. I would like to
achieve an ambition because living overseas will give me hands-on experience related to culture
and language as well as help me to be more independent. Furthermore, getting a master’s in
teaching English will pave the way for an incredibly successful educational career for me down
the road. These things will give me a great sense of achievement and security. To turn my dream
into reality, now, I must strive to get band 7.0 in the IE exam, and then I can register for a TESOL course next year.

Do people get enough sleep in your country?
From my point of view, I think most individuals, especially a vast number of white-collar workers
and students do not get enough good sleep. I would like to say that they just sleep about 5 or 6
hours a day. Because they spend most of the time working, studying and even online. To
maintain a healthy lifestyle, individual person should get enough 8 hours to sleep. This, as a
result, will help to enhance the capacity for concentration as well as give higher productivity and a better academic performance.
