1.Are you married? Do you think marriage is
necessary?
- Certainly I’m not. I’m a sophomore at
university so I have not married yet. In my
mind, marriage is pretty necessary because
anyway we need a home in future.
2.Do you want to get married early? At what age
do you think you will get married?
- Of course I don’t want to get married early, I
think 27 years old is the best age to get
married because 24 years old is the age I’ll
graduated, I want spend 3 years to have
experiences.
3.What do you think is the best age to get
married for men and women?
- With men, I think 29 years old is the best age
because at this time, they are more mature,
they can become a breadwinner.
- With women, 27 is the most suitable age
because first and they need some freedom
then they look after family.
4.Do you think arranged marriages are a good
idea? Why or why not?
- I’m not sure, I think arrange marriages are not
a good idea. Marriage is really importantan
event, it effects your future so you need to get
marry with someone who you choose and love,
you can not have arranged marriage.
5.What makes a happy marriage? / What do you
think are some things that contribute to a
successful marriage?
- There are many reasons to have a happy
marriage, not only loving, caring but also
money plays an important role in building a
marriage.
-
6.What is the most important to have a good
marriage?
In my opinion, I think understanding is the
most important to have a good marriage. In a
marriage, we will not avoid quarrels so we need
to understand and sympathy each other.
7. What are the median ages of men and women
at first marriage in Viet Nam in recent years?
What do the median ages mean?
- As I know 24.6 is the average age of marriage
in Vietnam. The average age of marriage
shows the ratio of marriage between men and
women, from which it can be seen how much
is the proportion of married people and
married.
8.Why do you think women don’t want to marry
early?
- Because they want to take more time to find
the right partner and prioritize financial
success.
9.Why do you think men don’t want to marry
early?
- Because they may fear commitment, or
because of witnessing failed marriages
growing up, they may have a negative view
toward marriage.
10. Do you think that young people want to
have a different kind of marriage from their
parents?
- In my opinion, I don't agree with the idea have
different kind of marriage from my parents.
There are two reasons that I disagree with this
notion.
- First, my parents' marriage is very happy. My
mother usually does housework and takes care
of the children. And my father goes to work
and earns money. Everyone said that :"Men
build the house and women make it home".
YEAH. That's right. My parents built a delighted
family together.
- Secondly, when I was young, I really admired
their marriage. I also hope that I would have a
contented marriage for my own like them.
- Finally, I believe that I can make a small
family with a thousand of smiles and
happiness like my parents, and hope that my
marriage could be better in the near future.
11. What impact are the falling marriage and
birthrates on society?
- Actually, the declining marriage rate has
become a social problem, because of their
financial instability. However, if people marry
later, they will more time to make have
money, they take care of theirdon’t have to
children that means society will not lack of
human resources and lead to economic growth
for the country.
- Also, falling birth rates have some positive
reasons, such as: higher incomes, improved
education and improved access to health care
and reproductive services. Falling birth rates
have enabled many women to pursue a
greater range of economic and social
activities.
12. Is there a relationship between the
marriage rate and the ageing population?
- Individuals who marry when they are older
than 34 tend to face a slightly higher risk of
divorce in their first five years of marriage
than individuals marrying in their early thirties.
Furthermore, the divorce risk is clearly higher
for individuals when they marry at age 40 or
later, versus marrying at age 30 to 34.
- Statistics show that the age of the Iranian
population is advancing. The rate of increase
in the population of never-married older
women was much higher than the overall
growth of older population. Women with formal
education, especially those with university and
pre-university degrees, were more likely to be
single in late life.
