My name is Dr. Jordan Metzl. I'm a sports medicine physician at Hospital for
Special Surgery.
As a doctor, I really believe that exercise is the best medicine and I want
everybody to be able to take that medicine all the time.
The first time I did it I thought, I wonder if anybodys going to come.
I just emailed some of my patients. We had about 25 people.
I've now built the listserv for this class of about 6,000 people.
This kind of workout is great about twice a week and the great thing about it is its
free.
You don't need any equipment and its so effective

So what are some public speaking rules you should never break?
Well for starters never ever, ever read a speech. Good morning. My name is T.J.
Walker.
Do you see how you are already asleep?
The hardest thing you could ever do is to read a speech in front of people unless
your goal is to put them to sleep.
Another rule. Never turn your back on the audience and start reading your power
point.
People don't like to be ignored. If you ignore them, they're going to respond in
kind by ignoring you.
The next thing you don't ever want to do is say this Would've liked to have
rehearsed but there was no time.
You want to rehearse. That will solve the problem of you being awkward, awful or
boring.
Avoid these big stumbling blocks and you'll give a great presentation

So why you should eat greens every day is they're the food most missing from our
modern diet.
Leafy green vegetables like broccoli, kale, bok choy, collards provide an incredible
amount of nutrition and the smallest amount of calories.
Now for proteins you want to focus on clean and lean proteins.
So if you do eat animal products you definitely want to be sure to choose organic
as often as possible so that you're avoiding any toxic ingredients like chemicals or
growth hormones.
And you also need water every day. Your brain needs to be hydrated to think well.
Your digestive system needs to be hydrated to eliminate properly.

No AC? Before you die of heatstroke, try these cool tricks.
Mimic the cooling effects of AC by putting a heaping bowl of ice in front of a fan.
Leave the bed unmade in the summer.
Wear wristbands that have been dunked in ice water, and tie a cold, wet bandanna
around your neck.
Stay hydrated by drinking a lot of cool water.

Most of us dread making a speech to a group, but if you think of it as simple
communication or helping others, you won't be nervous.
Prepare by role-playing the speech with a cohort to challenge your points.
Focus on one topic and set out your speech to cover issues.
Practice in front of a mirror, remembering to smile and gesture naturally.
Outline your speech on note cards, but try to get off book as soon as you can so
your delivery will flow.
