It is argued that scientific research should be devoted to addressing global health
issues, but there are some who contend that there are more pressing
problems to focus on. This essay discusses both sides of this argument and why I
partially agree with the latter opinion.
To begin with, some argue it is important that adequate attention is given to
solving global health issues. Currently, there are many people who are finding it
difficult to afford medicine to be protected from diseases. To address this,
scientists could strive to devise new and more affordable alternatives so that
those people can live healthily in the long-term. This is evident with the Hepatitis B
vaccine, as prior to its invention, medication for treating the virus was expensive.
However, once the vaccine was presented as a more affordable option, more people
were then administered the vaccine and the infection rate had decreased by a considerable margin.
However, others argue that there are other issues that are more deserving of
attention from scientific research. One of them is global famine, as there are
some regions in the world that are suffering from crop shortages due to
numerous factors such as poor soil quality and pests. Therefore, scientific research
could be devoted to creating new genetically-modified crops that could withstand
harsh conditions. Another critical issue is global warming, as it could pose a
greater threat to all life on Earth than most plights
on global health . Hence,
scientific research could be valuable in finding the causes of it as well as relevant
solutions to curb the effects of it.
In conclusion, I agree that while it is important that scientific research should be
dedicated to solving global health problems, there are more critical issues that need
to be addressed such as reducing famine and mitigating global warming. SAMPLE 2:

health issues, opponents suggest that other problems should be prioritized. As I
believe the prime mission of research is to enhance human welfare, studying other
issues besides health challenges can also contribute to this.

There are a range of reasons why the government should give health
care first priorities. First of all, highly-developed health care is able to
produce an effective guarantee towards people’s health. Since those
who catch illness can receive imminent and valid treatment, and it also
prohibit the propagation of diseases. Besides that, facilitating the
development of health care can lead to an economical advancement
of the society. Because the improvement of health care will generate
an increasing amount of medicine in utilization, leading to bumper
benefits. Also, it also impacts the employment rate in a positive way. The
development in health care will cause an enormous amount of job vacancy in medical domain.
However, I believe that there are more crucial areas deserving the
government’s priorities. Because I reckon that the development of
health care should base on advanced education. I disapprove that the
health care will progress in when people in this area fail to possess
