Guidelines for group’s assignments: Analysing management issues of a domestic or FDI company
based in Vietnam
Students are required to work in a team with maximum 6 members to analyse management issues of
a domestic or FDI company based in Vietnam.
Objective: To gain practical experience in identifying and analyzing key management challenges faced
by companies.
Task: Choose a domestic or FDI company based in Vietnam and analyze a specific management issue
it faces. This could be related to leadership, communication, human resources, marketing, or another
relevant area.
The analysis focusses on the following aspects of a company:
1. Providing the overview of the company including its name, logo, historical establishment, type
of enterprises, its main products and/or service, its targeted customers, etc.
2. Describing the company’s vision, mission, philosophy, culture, organizational structures, etc.
3. Describing the management issues
4. Explain these management issues based on the management concepts, theories, terms that
you learnt from the class.
5. Providing solutions to solve these issues.
Size and length of assignment: Maximum 20 slides plus accompanying notes.
Max. word count for the notes is 1000 words excl references (no +/- 10% to be used).
