Some people say history is one the most important school subjects. Other
people think that, in today’s world, subjects like science and technology are
more important than history. Discuss both these views and give your own
opinion.
Opinions vary regarding the signicance of school subjects. While many believe
that history is of supreme importance in today’s school program, others argue
that science subjects are more crucial given their current and potential
immense contributions to the development of the world. In my opinion, I agree
with the latter assertion.
Plan:
History important: why?
The primary reason why history is considered to be one of the core subjects in
school by many people is because of its ability to instill a sense of patriotism in
students. For example, history lessons provide Vietnamese students with a
comprehensive understanding about of the wars that have shaped their
country’s history taking place in Vietnam over the course of the history.
Through these lessons, they gain insight into the courageous sacrices of
numerous countless soldiers, the daunting hardships facing the country faced,
and the remarkable feats that continue to resonate today are still echoing until
these days. This fosters a deep sense of gratitude, national pride, and
patriotism, all of which in turn become an intrinsic motivation for encouraging
students to follow in their forefathers’ footsteps, contributing their e)orts to the
adva contributing to the advancements of the country in the global standing.
