1. Which animal đo you like?
- To be honest, I only like friendly animals such as dogs, cats and birds. I consider them human’s
friends and keeping them as pets will help me release my negative emotions.
2. Which animals are usually used in experiments? Why are they used in testing?
- The animals most commonly used in experiments—“purpose-bred” mice and rats.
3. What are the pros and cons of animal testing?
Pro:
- Animal testing contributes to life-saving cures and treatments.
- Animal testing is crucial to ensure that vaccines are safe.
Cons:
- Animal testing is cruel and inhumane.
- Scientists are able to test vaccines on humans volunteers.
- Alternative testing methods now exist that can replace the need for animals.
4. What’s your favorite food? Why do you like it? How often do you enjoy it?
- Fried chicken wings with fish sauce, that was the first dish my mother taught me to make.
- I like to eat fried food and chicken, especially my mom makes it very delicious.
- After more than 3 years of studying away from home, my mother no longer often cooks for me.
5. Which food trends are there in your country currently?
- One of the biggest food trends in 2022 is the increasing popularity of plant-based proteins. As
consumers become more concerned with their health and the environment, we expect to see vegan eating
and vegetarian diets become even more common.
UNIT 7: EXTREME WEATHER
1. What’s your favoritie weather? Why do you like it? What do you usually do during
that weather condition?
- I definitely prefer a cool and pleasant / mild climate.
- This type of weather always uplifts my mood.
- You know, I can show off my fashionable outfits with different layers and enjoy my favourite hot pot
(or BBQ).
2. Which extreme weather conditions usually happen in your country? When and
where do they happen? What should you do to prevent extreme weather?
- Usually in the rainy season, the central part of our country often has floods every year.
- During the flood season, when the water floods my house, I often collaborate with some charity
groups to help the people there.
3. Name some extreme weather conditions that you know. What are the reasons for
these conditions? Which one do you think is the most dangerous and why do you
think that?
- A tsunami is an ocean wave triggered by large earthquakes that occur near or under the ocean,
volcanic eruptions, submarine landslides, or by onshore landslides in which large volumes of debris fall into
the water.
- An earthquake (also known as a quake, tremor or tremblor) is the shaking of the surface of the Earth
resulting from a sudden release of energy in the Earth's lithosphere that creates seismic waves.
- A famine is a widespread scarcity of food, caused by several factors including war, inflation, crop
failure, population imbalance, or government policies.
- Famine is the most dangerous because it is related to human health.
4. Some extreme weather conditions are the results of climate change. What should
we do to reduce the influences of climate change?
- Most of it is due to the influence of the people, the most effective is raising people's awareness.

- Some famous works in Vietnam: Duc Ba Cathedral, Hue Ancient Capital,...

- Dong Son Culture, is an ancient bronze drum created by the Dong Son culture that existed in the Red
River Delta, they are one of the most astonishing examples of ancient metalworking culture.
3. Which natural wonder do your like? Why do you like it? Have you ever visited it?
- Ha Long Bay is located in Northeast Vietnam, a part of Northwest Bo Bo.
- My feeling about Ha Long Bay is the first time seeing the magical beauty that nature bestows on
Vietnam as I know through books and television: Ha Long Bay is really beautiful and sexy.
UNIT 10: SMART ADVICE ( JOBS/ START – UP)
1. Which jobs are popular in your country? Give reasons to explain why they are
popular.
- Recently, content creators on social networking platforms are growing very strongly, because they are
accompanying young people in today's society.
2. Which job do you want to do in the future? Why do you want to do that job?
- I want to teach piano to mountain people because that is also my father's dream.
3. What are the pros and cons of starting your own business?
Pros:
- Lifestyle Independence.
- Personal Satisfaction and Growth.
Cons:
- Financial risk
- Stress and health problems.
4. Name some successful entrepreneurs that you know and give reasons why they
are successful.
- Bill Gates is, like many other famous entrepreneurs, also known for his philanthropic activities,
donating very large amounts of money to charitable organizations and scientific endeavors.
